Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 7: How Can My Smash Brother Be This Cut

NEW QUESTION: In the (unlikely but awesome) event of third-party DLC packs, which characters would you want for which companies? Let's say four characters per company.

Namco Bandai: Dig Dug, WarGreymon, Jin Kazama, Lloyd Irving,
Goku
SEGA: Kiryu Kazuma, Joe Musashi, Billy Hatcher, Ulala,
Hatsune Miku

Magical Girls/Guys or a character whose main attacks consists of (tarot) cards and using cards to attack their opponent as newcomers.

The characters depicted above are not necessarily indicative of someone I'd want revealed at E3.

Did this come out of Yugioh abridged.

This feels like it did.

Which character reveal could singlehandedly make your E3?
Isa Jo because I refuse to lose hope.
Medusa because female and villain representation.
Claus because I'm a masochist.
Felix because fuck Isaac.
Snake because fuck all the haters.

If they give Snake's move set to Sami from Advance Wars I'll be content, too.

You don't even have a body!

Horizon.

Welcome welcome! I think i've seen you during that time as well. Enjoy your stay!

Yup! ^^

Which one do I avatar bet?
Yeah
Well

I have a complex about that D:

Mobile GAF was set to not show pics so when I read this I thought Persona? Then I clicked a picture link and the dream was dead.

To be serious, if Zone of the Enders 3DS ever happens as Kojima has teased I would want Jehuty to be the ultimate character.

But who gives a shit since none of our suggestions will mean anything.

Let's discuss something interesting like Loading Screen Mini-Games.

I mean those of you who've played Wonderful 101 know what I mean. I want something to do while I wait those long ass loading times.

Dont answer that question
Don't try to impede my test Hyper.

Gonna have to go with Chrom on that one although it is close. Can't we just have both?

EDIT:

Too late
Hmm, you said both at the end. You pass this round junior.

Trick question, the answer is Robin.
I'd be OK with this if they let you choose between default male or female. Or somehow let you upload your character if you have the game.

Admittedly, my first-hand knowledge of Fire Emblem begins and ends with the GBA games, but from what I understand, Anna was basically devoid of canon characterisation until Awakening fleshed her out. She seems like the poster girl for "complete longshot" to me. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong?

How angry would you guys get if they had no other FE reps besides marth?

Fire Emblem discussion has come such a long way since Brawl - many people took it for granted that there would be a second newcomer (for three characters total), and now a similar number are taking it for granted that Ike has to be replaced...

I don't think 'canon characterization' is really that relevant in Smash. How 'characterized' are half the characters in the game, really? Anna is effectively one of the biggest 'mascots' of FE. She's been in almost every single installment in some way, and therefore can borrow from the whole of the franchise for inspiration for her moveset. She's highly recognizable to anyone who's played an FE game. She (or a version of her) quite literally maintains an interdimensional gate that links every single FE game together in Awakening, if you want to take the way DLC is implemented in the game seriously. And she obviously has a lot from her Awakening game to draw from as well.

She has reasonable justification for using practically any weapon in the franchise (being the person who sells them) and generally has a lot more history than a lot of other potential picks.

Honestly, as far as 'longshots' go (and make no mistake, I don't have any illusions that Anna is a guaranteed pick), I think Anna is probably a lot more likely (admittedly and begrudgingly not as likely as Chrom) than some of the other popular suggestions, like Tharja or Robin.

You aren't wrong. Those who think Anna has a shot seem to be completely stuck in a Fire Emblem echo chamber. Could you even imagine press coverage if she was revealed? "Some random character from Fire Emblem you've never heard of joins Smash Bros.!" Think about it from the perspective of outside the FE fandom and it's pretty easy to see why it's absurd.

She's the longest running face this side of Marth in the franchise, is the IntSys' mascot, can play up the class she's most prominently associated with (merchant) by being proficient with all the weapons and abilities she peddles to players
(something supported by her role as the final test/boss character complete with RNG hax, her lineage being the ones who chronicle the stories of each of the FE lords, and being the guardian/gatekeeper of the Outrealm in Awakening)
and of course she brings a thief or Awakening's "Trickster" class into prominence.

Also a divergent personality and heritage compared to "blue haired, medium length sword" dude #3.

Well I never thought she was happening but damn. It's fun to think of, that's all.

What's more, anyone's a random until Smash Bros. happens to them. People want Pichu back for God's sake. :lol
