Maybe they're finally putting Amplitude and/or Frequency on PSN, damn it

They were around before the musical instrument fad though. These are familiar waters for them. They're not going anywhere.

Fair point. But weren't they a lot smaller then and focused on manufacturing/selling niche music game peripherals?

BACKED!

Might up my contribution to $200 to get the vinyl, it's just a biiiit too expensive for me right now. Decisions, decisions...

By the way Harmonix, thank you SO much for doing this. Cross-buy, too!

If this is successful (who the hell am I kidding it's going to be successful) this will be my PS4 system seller.

Curious as to why they need fans to fund this. Does Sony own the Amplitude name? Are they buying it from Sony? Did Sony let them use the name but not want to font any publishing money?

It's a vanity project based on fan requests, that could stumble and fail if they were to finance it themselves since the series is far into the past.

It makes PERFECT sense for Kickstarter.

They seem pretty vague on whether or not this is just going to be just a HD remake or a full blown sequel or somewhere in between.

Guess it depends on how much money they get, at least thats how it reads between the lines. Either way backing the hell out of this.

A little disappointing that they're not going with licensed tracks, but that obviously would add way more cost. I have no doubt they'll deliver on the music end though. Backed.

Are you saying that's too high? Because 755k seems pretty cheap for a PS3/PS4-game made by a non-indie downloadable.

It's startlingly realistic, at the very least.

Hopefully it doesn't fail and get re-Kickstarted at half the goal. Those sorts of Kickstarters are really weird.
