Question for the mods: How well do you all get along and agree or disagree when it comes to member bans? I suspect some of the higher profile bans get debated in a mod only forum.
I was a mod for a few years at a different gaming forum and the main reason I “retired” from the position was the lack of support on infractions and bans (such as another mod reversing an infraction or ban). This happened too often and was very frustrating. It undermined the role that a mod was given and members began to use it for leverage.
I don’t see that here but curious if you guys have any struggles like this.
Given the numbers here, I think it's probably presumptuous of me to say this and perhaps overlooks any resentments that don't exist at a surface-level, but I think it's mostly fair to say that everyone gets along pretty well on our side. In terms of things like questioning rationale, it's rare from what I notice and when there are questions/concerns, they are raised privately. I think the only times you'll ever see someone overturning a ban/lock/post deletion/whatever is when there was clearly a misunderstanding and the person who did it is not around.
Or if the action was performed by Zeliard. That guy does not know what he's doing and I don't understand why he still has the position.
