What's the longest realistic(i.e. not decades or whatnot) ban ever handed out?

The system only actually supports up to 3 years, but I believe we banned someone once and told them they could come back when MGS4 360 came out.

Females don't get banned on GAF unless they try to meet up with me at clown strip clubs.

An advanced AI that was developed at NeoGAF HQ for the task of making moderating the forums an easier venture. Shortly after gaining sentience, the AI killed everyone at HQ (think of the mods as the avengers and NeoGAF HQ as the Avengers Tower) and learned how to model itself as each of the different people that it took out. Now it attacks its victims using machinary found near the terminal that they post to GAF from. My current speculation is that about 95% of the moderation and admin staff is under its control while about 30% of the regular members are under its control. I can't speak for what it will do once it completely assimilates the entirety of the NeoGAF user base.

Nope. My original tag had no link and every mod/admin I PM'd that replied had no idea what post had prompted it. My 'improved' tag is from a post I made in a fishing thread though.

when you do something in the hopes that a mod will tag you for it. I think there is a more successful rate of getting a tag if you just ask for one, though.

Nope, there are tag fishing threads once in a blue moon (disguised under nonsensical titles like this one) where you say something and a pious ADMIN (Bish, Evilore) gives you a tag. There hasn't been one in years.


And if I'm not wroooong, apart from these super lighthearted threads when it's more of a joke, tagfishing is frowned upon.
