May 15th, but I wouldn't bet on it having too much.
People were mad at first because you couldn't transfer from older games. Time has let people realize how great the 3rd gen is once you looked past that fact.
The thing that bugs me about remaking Gen III is that next year the Gen I remakes will be that old as well. They're basically remaking games that came out when they started remaking the games.
Are they going to remake Gen I again? It's been just as long.
I could see the remake train stopping with these though. No one really cares about remakes of Diamond/Pearl do they?
So incredibly happy about this - remember drooling over how gorgeous Hoenn looked on the GBA to start with!
Can't decide what to go for - played Sapphire to death (well over 250 hours), so might be nice to go for Ruby for a change. Maybe I'll just buy both.
Well, I guess it's finally time to get myself a 3DS!
Sweet, now I can transfer my guys all the way from old hoenn to new hoenn
Yeah. That was a complaint with Wind Waker too and they fixed that, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a solution in the remake.I remember the water stuff was another thing that peeved a lot of people off.
I really don't get why everyone is hyped for this. Do you forget the numerous Tentacruel you had to fight to get around the world because surfing was the only option for a while?
No, thanks, Nintendo. Unless Omega has some apocalyptic event where the sea routes are finally paved by magma cooling down to where I'm not fighting the "Zubat" replacement of caves, I'm good to wait until Gen 1-2 is re-remade.

Did I state that the series didn't evolve? I said it didn't evolve past the formula of the first game, I even said it evolves at an excessive slow pace, which alone would imply that it has evolved. That doesn't even make any sense. To say the series hasn't evolved past the originals in any way is straight up absurd.

Remember when Nintendo does a new game they somehow forget some of the useful mechanics they have had in the past
Only 6 months guys!![]()

What if the next step is "Zeta Emerald"? Z is a Latin letter, like X and Y, but it's also a Greek letter, like Alpha and Omega.

If you mean the games that they announced today neither have you. My understanding is that a remake doesn't bode well for someone who expects the series to be more ambitious. And yet you haven't touched the games, so how could you tell that they didn't "evolve"? That's like saying Street Fighter II didn't "evolve" when it became Street Fighter Zero/Alpha.
Your point? People were hyped about Gold/Silver remakes even though the original games were full of problems.I really don't get why everyone is hyped for this. Do you forget the numerous Tentacruel you had to fight to get around the world because surfing was the only option for a while?
Gen 6 dramatically fixed the encounter rate and I also imagine that the remakes will be similar to X/Y with having a plethora of other pokemon available so that you aren't just running into the same pokemon all the time.I really don't get why everyone is hyped for this. I'm more than willing to admit nostalgia might be the main reason I love RSE as much as I do, but it's dope as fuck. Fantastic Pokemon designs that were the best mix of creative and not going off the deep end as much as the later ones did, awesome music, and it was the first Pokemon game that really had a ton of polish and is worth revisiting.
