Yeah Grovyle is still better but the anime made Sceptile a lot better than what the games gave us. The anime made Sceptile a badass powerhouse on the same level as Charizard.
As for the moveset:
B-Bullet Seed can charge it up to shoot out more of them at a higher speed and power.
B-side- Leaf Blade which is his signature attack.
B-up - Aerial Ace- just launchs itself high in the air with its blade out.
B-Down- Leaf Storm- storm of razor leaves surround Sceptile which can damage opponents close by and also act as a defense from projectiles.

Would be a nice chiasmus of gen reps if it were 1,3,4,6, skipping the 2nd and 5th.

That being said Blaziken is bestest and his Mega form made him bestest bestest.
I think the only chance he has to be in the next smash is if there's a wonderful 102 and maybe wonderful 103. Considering how it sold though (more the wii u's install base fault, but it still wouldn't have sold gangbusters), i'm not sure if that'll happen, unfortunately.

He's the grass starter that best fits the idea of a Smash character, apart of Chesnaught.
I'd be okay if they kept Ivysaur though.

The first one. That's the one with the dancing Ludicolo and really made me fall in love with them.
...I actually prefer that theme. So, cus they like how it sounds better I guess?
Not to say you shouldn't like the second one, but c'mon... salsa dancing Ludicolos. The music just fits much better.

Some people got their streams crossed and latched onto the remake bandwagon before there was anything conclusive.

I didn't think Viewtiful J--Wonder Red was going to be playable anyway and part of me thinks he might've been a cool character choice but at the same time I thought it wouldn't happen and you guys were over hyping it. I feel bad that he had to be disconfirmed via trophy but at least he's being represented somehow.
I very much doubt it, but if Sakurai was trolling you guys and he was playable in the end hopefully they're bringing back the Classic Mode trophies from Melee where they were more simplistic and toony in design or showed the character's original appearance. I missed that in Brawl. It was awesome when every character had 3 trophies. I had no qualms going through each mode with every character to get all of their trophies.

Sceptile would allow at least a partial transfer of Ivysaur moves to a new character, and, as others have said, would make a nice spread of different types and different gens for playable characters. This thing about games 'deserving' a certain number of characters is ridiculous, all that is important is that the roster is full of unique and fun fighters, if that means 7 Pokemon, so be it.

Do they own TW101? They published it like they are with Bayonetta 2. I kind of think she does have a decent chance now.

I already know people writing Smash 4 off as Pokémon 2D Battle Simulator because of how many Pokémon are already in the game. Pikachu, Lucario, Charizard, Greninja and the inevitable Jigglypuff put it at five, the second-highest of any franchise represented in Smash. Only the Mario franchise tops it - and that's only if you include the Yoshi, Donkey Kong and Wario franchises under it. If you don't, because Smash splits them off, it merely matches Pokémon (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser and Rosalina) - include any more Pokémon, and Pokémon becomes the most-represented franchise in the game. I'm not sure I can honestly justify that.
Huh, didn't realize that. Well given the Starfy example I still think Bayonetta has a chance.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a trophy, at least.
I think Bayonetta's guns would preclude her from being a character as Sakurai expressed concern over having handguns for Snake since they would raise the rating.
