The grinding looks a bit slow definitely, but it's probably necessary for the controllers to aim accurately since you're shooting. Maybe a solution could be a slight slo-mo thing when shooting?

Did you watch the video? An yes, this is as much a system seller as Infamous. Meaning I'm not so sure it's a system seller. That's not the point of this thread though.

I'm very pleased with how the game is shaping up.

I did watch the video but this thread isn't about infamous, maybe if he said it looks like infamous sure but it was an odd statement that explained nothing. Either way I won't talk about it anymore, game looks good that's all that matters.

Looks good, but I didn't see any combat after hearing about the combo mechanics. I don't know how anyone can think this looks bad visually. Colorful, open world with cool animations and particle effects.

Side note: Can we stop with the "system seller" term....It doesn't exist. And even if it did, how can you toss that out with a minute of gameplay that didn't show much gameplay wise?

I must admit, when they first announced this game I had zero excitement. I thought it was going to be a dull Crackdown copy with all the colors etc.

But after seeing this footage, it looks absolutely charming and great. I am actually getting legitimately interested in this game. I'm afraid it won't be enough for me to buy an Xbone though.

But I admit, it looks good so far, albeit we've only seen such a tiny part.

Gameplay looks fun, but who knows. I'm still not sold.

Visually, looks very oversaturated and cartoony, which fits the game theme. They smartly used nice camera and object blur, and even though world and enemies are simple [but they can appear in large numbers], end results is something that looks nice.

Graphically it looks decent, but i'm missing the energy and style that was present in the CGI trailer. Maybe it's the clunky animation or the ....not so pretty special effects, hmmm. Maybe it's just too early to show off ? The guns look interesting, and since this is insomniac, the gunplay will be awesome.

The stiff animation transitions between rails look like they were taken straight-out of R&C.

So Sunset Overdrive is basically Jet Set Radio with Guns.

I think it will go for the Dead Rising approach.

720p at 30FPS. Which is good for me when it comes to games of this nature. Dead Rising showed me it could handle a stable framerate even with the amount of things going on in the player bubble.

Excited for this.
