Guys this thread is about the game not the consoles. I'm as big PS4 buff as a lot of you but seriously why are we talking about resolution and crap right now?

If you can't look at the footage and think it's not fun to play regardless of the platform I do not know what to say. This is a pretty big win for MS in my opinion, the game looks great.

Depending on what MS shows at E3, I might be getting an XB1 because games like this definitely interest me.

It's hard to blame them after resistance 2, some not-so-great ratchet and clank games, and then fuze.

But this game looks like a proper insomniac game.

Late Gen-7 Insomniac games always looked good up until you put a controller in your hand.

I will not be convinced until I play it... but it does look very Rachety.

I think it looks like an Infamous Wannabe
The sad part is that the Infamous caracter has 120,000 polygons and this one only have 40,000 polygons.

Really?

Oh well. I guess I'm just lucky because all I see when I watch this game in motion is amazing-er-ness :)

EDIT - It's also sad that you obsess over polygon counts yet fail to spell 'Character' correctly.

I wonder how MP and dynamic updates play into this. Seeing the gameplay would the voting and realtime updates be like MMOs that have different quests depending on the seasons or day?

Kill the easter zombies, pistols only day, tweaked grinding speed due to mp exploit.

Edit: About the Polygon count in character and environment. Gotta remember this is a MP game so it can't really go all out on the detail. They have to create things smart, especially if 16 people or more(? it is Insomniac) can play in the same world.

I'm seeing a lot of comments about the animation but they're at least as good as Infamous SS. Maybe these same people think that game's animations were disappointing, too, I won't presume to know.

Naaah, the animations in Infamous were floaty, but they didn't pop out like what I'm seeing in this trailer.

They got time to fix it...

Especially that wall running. *barf*

I'm guessing it's 30FPS since Insomniac pussied out of what they believe in because sales data didn't back them up? I lost all respect for them since then: http://www.insomniacgames.com/blogcast/blog/mike_acton/1503082

They only released shit since then anyway. They were my fave devs in PS2 age and early PS3. Loved their old ratchet games.

Jesus man! I know you're obsessed with 60fps, but that doesn't mean that 30fps games are shit, certainly not insomniac games
Fuse doesn't exist

Better than expected I guess, but the gameplay doesn't look good so far, the art style is pretty good tho and I hope they don't change it.

Yeah the animations don't look good but the game still has awhile to go.

it's not just the animations though imo, it's the flow of movement. seeing a rail "grind" veer off at an almost 90 degree angle. the wall run having no sense of gravity, just a perfect, unending straight line, the bouncing about that has no real sense of propulsion like what was in crackdown. artistically i love the look of everything, but mechanically and functionally this is looking pretty bad to me.

maybe a better E3 stage demo will help? might just be the missmatched footage making it look janky?

One of the X1 games that I thought looked really fun when they announced it. Looks like it's shaping up to be really fun. Love the cartoony art style and colors too.

It looks quite similar to the Ratchet and Clank series, but with new characters.

Things that look like Ratchet and Clank:
1) Use of bright, over saturated color
2) Stylized cartoon figures for main character and enemies.
3) Platforming elements (jumping, grinding, etc.)
4) 3rd person shooter
5) Large variety of comical weapons
6) Attempt at humorous storyline & characters

Being Ratchet and Clank all over again isn't a bad thing, but it isn't the innovation I was hoping for from Insomniac. Maybe the multi-player modes are where the innovation is at; we will have to wait and see.

Has anyone gif'd the BOOM explosion?
Love that they kept those Scott pilgrim style effects for surrounding explosions and headshots.

I did watch the video but this thread isn't about infamous, maybe if he said it looks like infamous sure but it was an odd statement that explained nothing. Either way I won't talk about it anymore, game looks good that's all that matters.

I contest the notion of you thinking this is a system seller and the Infamous comparison is evident. I guess I should have said KZ Shadowfall or Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare. It don't matter and it's not a big deal unless you want to think it is.

The game looks really fun and has that Insomniac flair. Nothing wrong with that except the shooting which does little for me. Hope we get an E3 demo.

Seriously? In what way? It looks gorgeous and fluid to me

It's definitely not weak even if not mind blowing but the art more than does it for me.

Hopefully they finally get it this time. This seems to be a blend of the best parts of R2, Ratchet and their earlier works.

Although yea......definitely need more before judging...

I see what you saying,I guess you would notice more since you constantly moving around it seems in this game.

Not impressed by the graphics (aliasing and simple geometry abound) and animations (lacks fluidity). But the title is colourul and looks fun.

This looks AMAZING.

Day 1. The more games like this the better. Love how colorful it is and the fast paced gameplay.

gotta see the multiplayer to see if this game is enough to justify an xbox one purchase, looks fun so far though

I am really surprised. Really liked what I saw from the gameplay video. Love the vibrant color and cool effects. Not so much fan of the character design though...

Pretty much my thoughts. It looks pretty fun and the environment looks pretty good to me whether its 900p or 1080p.
