Freaking amazing... I need to repeat, best Xbone project... by far.

That said, pretty sure that if detective gaf start looking thourgh some post history here will find people that "hated" insomniac now prasing the same studio. Fanboy wars is just that sad...

Insomniac makes awesome games. Suck it haters.

They are capable of making awesome games, and they have before. They've also made games that aren't very good at all, like some of their recent games.

The one thing I DON'T like is that Insomniac is [for all intents and purposes] preventing the majority of their established fanbase, like me, from even playing their new game, which looks amazing.

I mentioned it above but I just looked at the trailer on the X1 youtube app (I always find the PS4/X1 HD quality of youtube is way better). Honestly to me, who can tell non-native from a mile off, the footage in that trailer is 1080p with no AA.

Are you serious ? If half the stuff hits thats rumored in the Ps4 e3 leak thread, Ms will have to bring much more than this.

They're being steamrolled when it comes to good exclusives. Titanfall, PvZ, Dead Rising, now this. Sony must be pretty miffed that the first game Insomniac makes that is not available on Playstation looks better than everything they've ever made for Sony.

The game looks great from the official video. I hope the enemies are actually challenging. I agree with others that the music could have been much better, but otherwise no complaints.
 
I feel like the animation needs some serious work on the traversal side. It's just not nearly as fluid as it should be jumping from one thing to the next, I think they need to increase the speed of everything.

Wall running looks particularly awkward and stiff. Dig the art style and concept, just hope it's executed better in the future.

MS relies on funding and publishing games from third-party devs. Sony just uses their bigger arsenal of first-party devs instead. They have had one great game so far and much more coming in the future. They've had a slow start, to be sure, but I have no reason to believe PS4 won't have plenty of great exclusives looking forward.

Well you're wrong cuz Insomnia themselves said the game is currently sub 1080p.
 
Just watched that, holy hell this game is going to be great. I liked the giant Fizzle saying you're going to die asshole when he floated up.
 
Looks good, but graphics are disappointing. Art style is great though, and gameplay seems like a nice blend of inFamous and Ratchet.

I'd pick it up if I had an Xbone, but I'll wait for a price drop and reviews for this one.
 
Not sure if posted yet but here's some info on the Day One edition

If you get the Day One edition, you’ll have access to the Nothing but Hits gun that shoots out vinyl records (as seen as the trailer). You’ll also get the It’s Me! Fizzie! outfit to dress up as the Overcharge mascot. Finally, the Hardcore Hammer, made of a bat and spiked dumbbells, will let you pound mutants into the ground.

Really? I thought the graphics were pretty impressive.
 
Artstyle and graphics looks good. The rest looks boring as hell but well, it's not a game iamed at me. Too much sillyness in there for my taste.
 
If they polish up the traversal and animations, this is gonna be a definite one to add to the list. New trailer seemed great though.

What's disappointing about the graphics since you didn't care to elaborate?
 
MS must have some big guns for E3 if they are letting this out of the bag just over a month before E3 ! Can't wait for their conference, I'm hoping it sells me on an XBone as I already want to play Titanfall, DR3, Ryse and Forza 5. A few more exclusives and I'm in.
 
Holy awesomeness at that new official video in the OP, haven't seen a game focus so much on fun since mario 3d world, it's like they added everthing that could bring fun to the game no matter if it fits or not and just built the game world around that! And check out the colors! Simply fantastic! Next gen without the dark/brown boring filter on! I don't even care if it's 30 or 60fps

Yeah no doubt that when it's all said and done PS4 will have loads of great exclusives. I'm just saying that the early perception is that the Xbone just keeps getting great exclusives, while the PS4 is stalling a bit. Guess we'll see at E3.

Just making an observation, but I was really surprised after seeing Insomniac's output for the last decade or so. I didn't expect this to be this good. I guess when you are given the freedom to make what you want and to own the IP, it really makes a difference.

Yeah I think this is one of the more intriguing looking games they've ever made. Looks like a blast, but it's a shame for me that, even as a longtime fan of the dev, I won't be able to play it.

As are people who may don't own an XB1 but can objectively say when a game looks great even if it's on that platform.
