This game looks really fun and the color scheme is awesome. But I can't help but feel like there's an intense overreaction to what this game really is. It just doesn't take itself seriously enough for me to take it as seriously as people here are. Do you guys really think a cartoony arcadey action game is a system seller? Obviously that doesn't even really matter, I'm just thinking out loud after reading some of the responses on here.
Insomniac is an awesome studio tho, we should not be surprised that they're working on a good game.

Less of an overreaction, more like not the positive reaction you wanted for a game you weren't going to buy. This game looks really fun and the color scheme is awesome. And the back tires are in the ground.i just noticed that the front tires of the van are floating and it drives right through a telephone pole
I think that a great way to increase the quality of each ratchet game would be to not have one come out each year by the same developers.
Here you go.

EDIT: lol
.First time I've even been a tiny bit interested in an XB1 game.
Looks great but I probably won't ever play it, oh well.
The alien driving seems pretty cool tho.i just noticed that the front tires of the van are floating and it drives right through a telephone pole
Oh didn't even notice the tires XDi just noticed that the front tires of the van are floating and it drives right through a telephone pole
7 yr generation and two of those games are much smaller DLC-like entries. They have always been a company who have aimed for at least one annual release, since well before last gen.Never looked at it that way before but Insomniac made 10 games last gen?
No wonder the quality bar dropped after just 2 games.
You could always just stay away from a franchise that you're tired off rather than ask a developer to stay away for you...some of us still like these games. Personally, after R&C:Into the Nexus, I'm eager for more. And hopefully Ratchet stays away for a year or 5.
Looks great. Is there any word on resolution/FPS?
Cannot unsee.i just noticed that the front tires of the van are floating and it drives right through a telephone pole
This game looks like Ratchet and Clank mixed with Saint's Row and crack. I need it.
i just noticed that the front tires of the van are floating and it drives right through a telephone pole
This looks like good fun. I hope it isn't permanently an exclusive as i can't see my myself buying an Xbox one anytime soon
This looks incredible but the line about "this is the game Insomniac's been waiting to make for over 20 years" seems like a huge slap in the face to all their fans on Sony consoles. I mean, I understood when they went multi-platform because they wanted their games to reach more people, but releasing the "game they've been waiting to make all these years" exclusive and during the launch of a console race when install bases are smallest?
What's the thinking Insomniac?
I really don't quite get these Infamous comparisons. There are definitely some shared aspects but I think much better comparisons could be made.
This is very much Dead Rising to me (crazy combine-able weapons, hordes of monsters, open world) mixed with something like JSR or Tony Hawk or some such (maneuverability, grinding, wall running, etc.).
I guess people tend to compare to the most recent similarity they can think of.
Ratchet & Crack

I think that's how sony sees it.Especially when I can't but feel like Insomniac just sees the IP as a quick buck to fund their other games. It deserves much better than that
Somehow it just dosent look fun to me
It seems to get everything right at the right place but...
dont know what´s the problem is, but i feel its another game ill be completely fine not playing
