Official Sunset Overdrive Trailer

Thank Gawd someone was willing to support the crazy awesome art style. HATE when publishers levitate towards realistic, dark or brooding simply because of some BS market research and focus group.
 
First xbone game to capture my attention. Good job, Insomniac.
 
Looks better than anything Insomniac did for Sony. Seems like a fun, playground-style game. Probably won't play it, but looks promising! Good get for MS.
 
People calling the game to be boring even without playing it and those calling the combat shall and even the ones who are saying graphics isn't good, it's just beyond me.

Yeah, no kidding. I think Microsoft is off to a damn good start. There are already a couple of exclusives I'm interested in and this is likely to be another. I would never buy a console for one game, but Microsoft has a very tempting lineup and it hasn't even been out a year
 
Looks like a colorful Dead Rising game... not my cup of tea, but nice to see Insomniac bounce back from the crap that was Fuse
 
Christ, this "looks good shame it's on xbone" rhetoric is so fucking dull now. Are you lot so incapable of praising something without having to add a qualifier like that?
 
To the haters, don't hate, appreciate ! XB1 has its problems, but games ain't one.

The game looks super fun ! Will definitely buy this bad boy on day one ! Been missing these kind of games... with too many brown shooters on the market, if feels good to see a game with color that looks like a videogame from the Dreamcast era... i'm exited !

I'm actually surprised to hear this is a single player open world game. After Insomniac's failed R&C/Fuse multiplayer experiments,and watching the announcement trailer I assumed this would be a multiplayer game too. Nice to see Insomniac going back to their roots. This trailer makes the game seem like a next gen successor to the R&C series: humor, crazy weapons, platforming, hopping onto a monorail. Good stuff.

This looks like an Insomniac game I'd want to play (if I was going to buy an Xbone which I'm not planning to do, since I already have a PC, PS4 and Wii U). And once again I wonder what the hell Insomniac Games were thinking when they turned Fuse into an anonymous online co-op shooter.

I wouldn't call BS on market research companies or focus groups, They have qualitative and quantitative data to back their findings, which only helps developers and publishers to stay solvent in such a highly volatile industry such as games business.

That being said, Sunset Overdrive is looking all set to deliver where Insomniac re-fuse-d last generation.

yeah, you'll get Sunset TV every week, they are short (2-4 minute episodes)

They will also stream in the actual game as you're playing post launch.
 
I wasn't impressed when they revealed the game at last year's E3 but after watching that trailer I must admit that it looks really good. I won't play it in the near future because I don't plan to buy a Xbox One (yet) but I would if I had one.

Is the game still playable offline or does this mean it's online only now?
 
Just watched the trailer. I said damn. DAMN. Huge smile on my face the entire time, that looks like great, genuine fun. LOVE the art style and graphics, particle effects, transversal, the amount of hilarious and crazy shit that happens, I am seriously looking forward to this.

Day one, and if this thing keeps up the positive word of mouth it seems to be getting today then it could very well sell systems.

Come on now. That's kind of a kick in the head to your PS fans. "For the past 20 years, we've been pumping out PlayStation exclusives... but now, behold our magnum opus! For XBOX ONE!"

He has said a few tines the fame is playable offline. This looks like part of their always changing things in the city (ads and other things) and offering content updates for being connected.

They've been dreaming of working on the XB1 for 20 years. Must of heard about from a damn good mystic.
 
The visuals are weak, but I own an Xbox One and the gameplay looks fun. If it gets solid reviews, I'll bite.

It just had better be of superior quality to Insomniac's more recent Endeavor's,

If this is of FUSE caliber, then forget it!
 
Too early to make any real judgement but the video definitely makes the game looks fun. I'm very interested to see more.

Feels pretty good to have both a PS4 & XBONE right now!
