People got excited seeing Metroid in 3D during the Melee E3 trailer because Metroid hadn't had a single release in the 7 years since Super Metroid (having skipped the entire N64/GBC generation), and a lot of people were excited for Metroid Prime because it was still a weird unknown quantity.

Pic of the day. Uniting three parts will complete the legendary Air Ride machine the Dragoon! It's back! But we didn't just leave it the way it was, and added some nice touches to the design of the targeting screen. It is, of course, in stereoscopic 3D on the 3DS.

It takes over the game and takes the place of more interesting items with immediate effects.
Also, I can't imagine anyone ever having trouble aiming the dragoon.
