1st Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire footage to be shown @ Pokémon GetTV on Sunday

So the stream seems to be skipping the first 30 minutes which in Pokemon Smash and Sunday had an anime episode airing. So it would be best to change the times 30 minutes later in the OP I guess.

And would that mean it is okay to post the links directly? I think the anime being streamed is why it was against the TOS on YouTube.

I'll directly link to it this time instead of putting it in e-mail tags. If it is not allowed, then I'll remove it.

thanks!

I remember watching Pokemon Sunday with NeoGAF for the Black/White reveal. It was actually really fun because everyone also watched the anime episode and made comments about how terrible it was, lol.

Nowadays, I wouldn't be too surprised if Nintendo dropped Pokemon Nintendo Direct on YouTube out of nowhere a couple hours before the broadcast.

Improbable to the point of being essentially impossible.

I think he has the right idea with a glass half full approach, though. :p

It will be neat to have every region accessible on 3DS. I hope they can make surfing as fun as they made regular traversal in XY.

I'd be fine with the top speed being like RSE and not as fast as X and Y if it meant that Hoenn wouldn't have to have loading gates. It's lack of them is really part of what makes the region stands out.
Definitely, but I'm sure there'll be gates in this one. It's too much to ask Game Freak to make things seamless when they can't even get universal 3D and top framerate out of their engine.

If there had to be a handheld game combining all of the Japan-based regions into an interconnected region, then I'd also want a massive campaign that hops between regions and has some non-linearity to it. Then again, I like to think of these games as modular, with one game being a very accessible, easy JRPG and the other a highly complex battle system to play with.

That sorta ruins their announcement of having the world premiere. The info will show up on the US/EU Pokemon websites like an hour later.

That is what happened with the BW2 announcement, yes, which was the start of the West and Japan getting closer together with their release dates. The difference is now less than a day and can be blamed solely on those blasted time zones.

Ok, it's getting closer. I really hope it's true footage and not like 5 seconds of the trainer on Littleroot. And I hope this will confirm customisation is back...

OK, so there are two streams.

ZephyrSonic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1_Ko8qrTwE
giancarloparimango11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b11wQWkANHw

The first will show the whole Pokemon GET TV episode. The second will only show the last 30 min where they will most likely show what we want to see and some other stuff that they do on Pokemon GET TV.

The countdown in the OP is counting towards the start of the first stream.
JoeM86, I'm sure you've seen the footage by now. Can you give us some hints of what to expect? ;)
Nobody knows what is going to be shown other than the people involved with Pokemon GET TV, so no, he wouldn't know.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what it always is? Throw a battle scene in there and that sounds about right.

Gates? You mean those little connector buildings? Because I'm pretty sure gen3 had those.
FR/LG has them, but not RSE. Example: I could go north from Mauville into Route 111 and then into Route 113 without going through any buildings. It's a small distinction from other games, but it makes a big difference in the campaign, and it's nice not having to wait between routes so data can load.

Man I've never noticed. I even replayed ruby last year... I just know Gen 4,5,6 all had them.

That's dangerous. Get TV doesn't always follow the rigid schedule Smash & Sunday did. Some episodes have had the anime episode in the latter half.

To be fair Iwata might have been wrong, Pokemon isn't a Nintendo developed game series after all, or he could have just said they were remakes to save the fact that they aren't for a later date. But It's like a 99.9999% chance they are remakes. Hopefully they make some big changes to go along with what they've been saying about it being a dramatic new world and an epic new adventure.

Yeah, maybe the game is actually a Diamond and Pearl remake too. I'm sure all press releases are just wrong. There's a 99.9999% chance they're not, but it's still a possibility to he fair.

Pokémon may not be a Nintendo developed series, but they have a stake in the franchise and are the bloody publishers. They'd know this thing. Grasping at straws :p

I swear everytime a new pokemon game is announced people come up with the stupidest theories and ideas.

Sequels? Really?. These are remakes guys. If i can deal with megas you can deal with the fact that these are remakes.

But to the point of being realistically impossible, that's what I'm saying.

Impossibilty speaks of whether or not it can be done. Improbability is whether or not it will happen. In fact from a mathematical/physical standpoint it is more correct to say highly improbable.

Gamefreak can perform this feat. It may very well be a part of the game. It isnt a question of can it be done but will it be done. Again, improbable but not impossible.

Now if the games release without this feature and i turn my 3ds on it is an impossibility that my game will have this feature as it does not exist.

It is realistically improbable. Just like me hoping for the removal of megas. Certainly not impossible but highly improbable.

I think you're nitpicking over semantics. The point is that it's not gonna happen either way.

It definitely could have been a sequel, however improbable. It's not that stupid of an idea, like removing Megas would be.
