JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders episode 6
Did..did they just censor someone smoking......in japan?
Also I feel like the girl is suddenly going to look alot older than she originally did next episode

stardust crusaders is kinda lame compared to the first 2 parts. every episode is like wow new area. oh new ppl, oh no one of thems a bad guy, oh shit a fight for the rest of the episode now.

To be fair, Stardust Crusaders IS pretty much a stand-of-the-week part.

Not that there's necessarily something wrong with that but not everyone likes the formula.

Yeah its pretty understandable to dislike the formula, and add to that SC pretty much not having overarching plot.

Monster-of-the-week will staying from now on but other part aside SC have treading storyline to follow.

Loved this week's episode. One thing that kind of threw me off was the captain. He looked different from the manga imo. Either way, nice action and trick that Jotaro pulled to identify the stand user. Next week should be fun.

In comparison to part 5 and most of part 6 Stardust Crusaders feels like the most varied manga ever. Those two are literally fight after fight after fight after fight without barely any plot or anything happening in between fights. Stardust Crusaders gets better, especially later on.

Gotta be honest whilst I enjoy this series of JoJo so far, I definitely enjoyed the first season more.
Maybe it'll change after a few more episodes but we'll see.

One of the problems of part 3 is that Jotaro is such a Vanilla main character, he's the cool and silent badass; Joseph had a much more funny personality, he's still my favourite JoJo.

Part 3 has the problem that it is very much 'Stand of the week'.

It makes up for it being being so fucking outrageous and over the top.

Its also why I like part 4 the best. Its like all the awesome parts of 1, 2 and 3 all rolled together.

so far i liked part 1 the best. the motivation of the antagonist and protagonist seem to be explained well while in part 2 and 3 (so far) its just "bad dio" and "bad pillar men"

Part 3 is still so awesome though.
All the Stand fights just get crazier and more imaginative as the story goes on.

You have know idea how hyped I am for the next episode and the one after that.

This is really it for me. I liked Jonathan and Joseph far more by episode 6 of their respective parts than I do Jotaro. Star Platinum and the stand battles are cool and all, and I don't mind monster of the week formulas that much if I can get into the characters. But so far, Jotaro is so dull and the other characters aren't doing much to make up for that.

Joseph is the best JoJo for me so far as well. Plus in the manga, I only read parts 1-3 because part 4 had some really bullshit translation at the time I was reading it.

As a whole, part 2 is more interesting because the antagonists are more present and pose (IMO) a greater threat than Dio.

On the other hand, the final two volumes, if animated really well, will be pure bliss.

Jotaro's main strength is how "cool" he is in any situation. The guy gives zero shits about anything.

Joseph is definitely better than Jotaro but I enjoy him way more than Jonathan. Jotaro also isn't carrying the Part by himself so he doesn't have to be the same as Joseph.

Outside of Joseph and possibly
Jolyne
, the franchise isn't exactly known for its charismatic and entertaining protagonists. In almost any given part, the supporting cast is better than the JoJo.

This is so true. Part 2 is pretty much the only part where the JoJo is my favorite character. I don't think any JoJo is particularly dislikable though.

How can you not like Josuke? I understand Johnny since you have Gyro there, but Josuke is pretty cool man.

Joseph is still the best though.

Josuke is pretty alright, but I always saw the strength of Part 4 being the situations he and his friends get into rather than the characters themselves. IMO, they're all kind of underdeveloped including Josuke.

Anyway, this is a part 3 thread.

SC is way longer than those other two parts though , and we've just been introduced to the whole gang an episode ago.

Well, I said I was comparing the three based on my impressions from the first 6 episodes from each series. Even if SC is longer, roughly 2 hours of television should be enough for a main character to make some kind of impression or endear him/herself to the audience. Jotaro has failed to do so thus far with me, whereas Jonathan and Joseph did.

Episode 6

Whoa, it's pretty impressive that they don't seem to be cheapening out on the show anytime soon. Even though this is totally a Stand-of-the-week episode (like most of the episodes will be), there was some pretty good action, and really nice explosions at the end. Looks like David Production is definitely handling this to the best of their ability. Hopefully it stays this way. I like how it's okay to show Jotaro molesting a little girl, but it's not okay to show him smoking. Roflmao.

To think the Duwang translation has built a little cult for itself; some of that stuff is unbelievable, especially the first volumes:

I'll add my vote to the
Josuke
bandwagon.

He didn't even know she was a girl before touching her, so I wouldn't say he's molesting her, unless we apply the loosest definition of molestation.
