Who was that idiot who insisted StarTropics was set to be announced for Wii U, and guaranteed and reiterated and emphasised how honest and correct he was? Did anything come of him beyond immediately being banned? Did he turn up anywhere else online or admit to making everything up?

After the fiasco that was VGX, do you think Geoff Keighley has been granted the usual E3 interview with Reggie? Reggie seemed at unease during that "show", and righteously so due to Joel McHale's in my opinion, stupid, remarks. Has the bridge been burned, or is there still gonna be another Geoff shout/Play the game?

Maybe Geoff has already commented on this, I don't know?

I wouldn't care if Nintendo never does another interview with trash like that.
They always drill Nintendo about shit while throwing softballs to Sony and MS.
Last E3 was the worst that I have ever seen journalists act.

I could see it still happening.

It'd be funny though if Reggie shunned him this time when they actually have something big(Zelda) to show.

He ended up posting elsewhere about the vague bits he "wasn't wrong" on and insisted that since he was more correct than incorrect, he was wrongfully banned.

Geoff was trying to get something out of Reggie because he was just as disappointed as we were about the Cranky reveal.

Reggie will gladly talk to Keighley, I'm sure of it.

If there was any friction Between Nintendo and Gametrailers/Spike, it's been discussed after the showing.

Edit: I think Geoff was pretty peeved about the VGX in general. Everyone brought their B-material for hype, which was terrible. But that's the fault of Spike, not the publishers.

Actually Nintendo was supposed to reveal Metroid Prime 4 there (that's why Reggie had that pin) but after seeing what a joke that event was Reggie decided it was better to roll with that Cranky footage.

Actually, Joel seemed the most serious/interested when they were showing DKTF. Which surprised me, since how he acted the rest of the show.

He did make a few remarks, but nothing as bad as the others.

Yet it ended up being one of the few things of note in the VGX, go figure :P At first I was feeling bad for Reggie, going to the show with something we had written off as the most unexciting prospect...But in retrospective, I feel bad for Geoff, who tried to get something more out of Reggie hoping to save that trainwreck of a show.
 
Nintendo shouldn't make more enemies and they need all the press they can get especially with Geoff being on Spike TV

For the record the worst Doritos Pope moment imo was the overreaction to the Wii Fit Trainer reveal for Smash Bros

I don't think it was that serious, I'm sure they'll talk. Geoff just wanted something big for the show and he got Cranky, we all got Cranky.

He went to gamefaqs complaining that he got banned despite getting some things right (which were incredibly safe anyways).

The EAD team that worked on Pikmin hasn't done anything since right ? does anyone know give or take what the different EAD teams are up to I'm asking since Miyamoto hinted that he would like to work on Star Fox internally
 
NintendoGAF needs more photoshoppers and GIFers. SonyGAF and MicrosoftGAF is getting all the good stuff. (Pretty damn good stuff.)
 
We've just known about Nintendo E3 plans a bit longer than either Sony or Microsoft. We have plenty of hype Bullet Bills and Reggie GIFs, it'll all ramp up closer to the day. No one can hype like NintendoGAF.
 
This should be a great E3 for Nintendo. New game announcements and of the games we know about, we know little of them. All points lead to hype.

I think what we are getting this fall, is a new project from the Nintendo Land programming team at EAD. However, instead of Nintendo Land 2, it sounds like EAD is honing in on maybe 2-3 more fleshed out individual projects aimed at the core.

Then you will have Aonuma and Fujibayashi's Zelda U next Summer.

Games aimed at the core from EAD is great news hope one of them is Star Fox thanks for the info
 
How do we think the controls will go down with Zelda U?. Gamepad worked perfectly with WWHD but motion controls are great also. I can only think of a Pikmin like setup where you can have the gamepad on the side showing the map etc if they decide to include both.
