I would like to say Germany but when I look at the coach my hopes fall apart. So I go with Brazil. What do you think, GAF?

Brazil if they can manage expectations. Otherwise, Argentina. It's going to be a team that can handle the extreme heat and humidity. Lazy predictions, but there you go.

Chile are dark horses. Fuck Belgium. Enough people are calling them dark horses that they aren't dark horses.

Not the US.

Brazil, Spain, and Germany are some of the strongest contenders I can think of having a good chance of winning it.

Since my Sweden isn't in, I'll be rooting for Argentina and Belgium. Argentina probably has a decent chance if they get their defense working (that offense tho), but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Sadly i have to agree with the Germany part. Don't think Brazil will make it though, maybe Argentina since i do think it will be a South American team.

it's not going to be a south american team, that's for sure. brazil, argentina, uruguay, they're all going to get schooled hard the moment they play germany, italy, spain or any other major european team. just like last world cup, when 3 of the 4 quarters were europe vs. south america. we all know how it ends.

confederations cup is a mickey mouse tournament so you can't base anything on that.

England they play so shit but will suprise many lol

It'll be either Brazil or Argentina.
Mostly based on the fact no European team ever won the WC on American soil.

Spain, Italy, Brazil in that order for me. Would like to see Italy win it. Or Uruguay.
Well be very interesting to see what effect the heat and humidity plays.

I'd say Spain. They will Tika-taka their way to the Final in a boring manner, and will eventually destroy the team they play in that match and will be hailed as the saviours of football.

As it is Europe sends more than twice as many teams as South America so I would hope they would have at least half the spots of quarters

Also, last time Italy didnt make it out of group, and Germany and Spain had a tough time in groups and against Uruguay and Paraguay in quarters.

So yeah, schooled hard, right

Croatia.

I'm delusional, considering that even if we pass the group stage, we're most likely going up against Spain/Netherlands, but hey, a man can dream.

Italy? lol sorry but no, sadly at the very best we'll arrive in the top 8.

Brazil or Germany are the most likely in my opinion.

Whoever had the rights to sell drinks and ice creams.

Spain to win.

And go Australia, lets see if you can at least compete this time.

Croatia, I agree.

We will slip through everything again, our supporters will bankrupt for travels to Brazil, but we will conquer everything.

First game, Brazil vs Croatia, 1:2

From that point onwards the madness will unfold.

Neymar will lead Brazil to glory...

Lol no he won't. He'll flop in another big game situation as is his wont.

I'm happy if England, Netherlands, or Portugal win. Out of those three I think the Dutch are going to go the furthest. But I have a feeling that Spain will once again win it all by playing the most boring football in history. I'm predicting an at home choke of epic proportions for team Brazil. It will be the most beautiful thing in the world.

France is once again not getting out of the group stage, book that lol. Germany is either going to lose in the semifinal or the final like they always do. Couldn't give two shits about Italy after the 06 world cup, I hope they choke too. I hope Messi is a no show again. Oh and the US, Hahaha...they're not leaving the group stage.

I'd find a "Which country will be the biggest disappointment at World Cup 2014?" much more entertaining!

My bet for that: Argentina and Messi will catch some huge flak.

I think we will have a Brazil Argentina final; Argentina will win on a Kun dive.
Their players and staff will be trapped inside the Maracana with a brazilian mob outside hungry for blood. Speed is of essence, decisive action will be TAKEN 4: LEO.

That happened 2 times already. Wouldn't be a surprise anymore.

Rooting for Spain, though I'm worried about the lineup Del Bosque will field (Spain has the players to blow anyone out, but I'm worried he'll rely on the old stalwarts too much in a time he should let in the new blood... it's the reason I'm much more optimistic for Euro 2016 than for WC 2014).

Brazil doesn't have as great a team as people seem to be hyping them up to have, but they're at home and we know how much of an effect that can have.

Argentina are far from great, but they have such an easy group and relatively easy way up the knockout rounds that I'd almost say there was a conspiracy in it for Messi to win XD

Germany have the best squad after Spain, and I'd love it for them to win. They're chokers though...

Those are my four, Though there's many other great teams. (Colombia at full strength is probably the best South American team; Belgium has insane amounts of talent, but I'd wager they're too young - Euro 2016 is their time to shine, methinks; Netherlands & especially France have a lot of talent but don't play as well as they should; Chile is pretty good to, could surprise one of Spain/Netherlands in the group stage; and Japan is really really good.)
