Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 7: How Can My Smash Brother Be This Cut

To come back to my post from 2 pages ago concerning Smash TV (like MKTV for Mario Kart) wasn't there a feature for Brawl to save short videos? Havent played brawl in a long time so I can't remember...

Recoil damage is lame :( It better do a lot of damage to make up for that, then. Sigh. For every 1% he loses, he better do +3% of damage, on top of whatever the base damage is.

I just hope that by "recoil" he means he actually gets hurt only when it makes contact. In Pokemon games you didn't take recoil if you freakin' missed.

Unless it's high jump kick and you get destroyed.

They weren't videos persay. They were just recorded button presses. That's why if you used cheats it could cause "replays" to desync. But yes. There was. Kinda.

I believe it was only 2 or 3 minutes though.

Yes, and you could submit them to be part of the daily clips pool that people would download via WiiConnect24. They stopped that service many years ago.

2 or 3 minutes sounds find though, it could work just like MK TV...I think there is a chance Nintendo will use the established thing from MK TV for Smash

I'm glad the Mega Evoltution argument was put to rest, now we know both Lucario and Charizard's final smashes. It's pretty clear that if Mewtwo makes it, he'll also have a Mega Evolution final smash.

My heart stopped for a second since I assumed this was Captain Falcon punching the shit out of someone

:(

I am glad that Charizard has Flare Blitz but not happy that he still has Rock Smash in his move pool or the fact that his final smash is urgh Mega Charizard.

Not sure if Charizard will end up being one of my main.

Nice to see Rock Smash isn't gone. I'm pretty sure that was a pretty good move in Brawl. I don't remember.

We still don't know what Mega Charizard X even does lol. My guess is the same as before, it will fly around (you can control its flight) and shoot blue fire balls. Though that seems too similar to Yoshi's.

Well, WFT's final smash is pretty much the same as Mario's, so a precedent has been set.

The issue with Mewtwo though is that his form changes too much in his Mega Evolutions. I'm not sure if he could reuse the same animations like Charizard and Lucario likely do (or Warioman and Giga Bowser in Brawl).

Edit: Of course, that's assuming that Mega Charizard works like what's we've seen of Mega Lucario. And, looking at that reply above, I guess rather than that Mewtwo could get a mega evolution that works closer to Yoshi's or Sonic's final smashes.

Hmm. It's possible that Yoshi is getting new final smash but I hope not since I really like Super Dragon final smash tho.

Who know if Mario are getting new final smash.

Like you said, Yoshi may get a new Final Smash. Something that makes more sense than fire breathing dragon. All I'm saying is that we've seen a new final smash that feels like a rip off of an old one.

Yeah. I would be okay if Yoshi can throw a huge egg as final smash which would make it impossible to dodge.

An egg throwing final smash would be cool. Makes a lot of sense.

WFT's is not like Mario other than there are things being shot horizontally.
Was Lucario's mega mode confirmed as FS? I assume it is, but not sure if confirmed yet.

I'm going to miss his giant hadouken
Not confirmed, but personally, I never thought otherwise.

This move is based on the various powers that Yoshi could get in Super Mario World by holding certain types of Koopa shells in his mouth, or being a different Yoshi color. Eating a blue shell allowed Yoshi to fly, eating a red shell allowed him to spit fireballs, eating a yellow shell caused him to make mini-earthquakes each time he landed, and eating a flashing shell caused Yoshi to do all three, similar to Super Dragon, but once he spat fire he would revert to normal.

Speaking of this, do we know what happens when Yoshi eats a blue shell?

Why did the picture of the day stop linking to miiverse once you clicked on it :( It's such a pain to have to go to miiverse to check.

Pic of the day. Here's Charizard's new special attack, Flare Blitz. It's a very powerful attack--however, you'll take recoil damage if you make contact. Pretty true to the original game, huh? Flare Blitz is Charizard's side special move, and Rock Smash is the down special move.

And here's Mega Charizard X. This will appear as Charizard's Final Smash.

Here you go, Joe.
Yay Charizard X
That's pretty good, I actually expected a lame final smash

Wasn't Yoshi's Final Smash a combination of some of Yoshi's Power from Super Mario World?
Edit: KOed!

I'm glad to see Rock Smash come back. And considering rock smash is one of the best attacks for Charizard in Brawl, I'm pretty sure Sakurai doesn't care about which Pokemon have what stat spreads, so I'm glad he went with the better design for Charizard's FS

Flare Blitz looks cool, a new recovery option for Charizard as well. I'm fine with Rock Smash being back since it was Charizard's best special move in Brawl but tbh I would have preferred Fire Blast similar to his old FS but it chargeable like Zelda's down special.
Also it looks like his Mega Charizard X final smash isn't fully controllable like Lucario's since it's always doing that flying pose every time we see it so maybe it's just like Diddy and Sonic's.

I assume it's a new recovery option because he lost his glide. Wonder how fly will change. Did we get any good footage in the direct?

How the fuck are people still messing up the Newcomer character splash? It's not like it's even an obscure font! It's just a midly-kerned Helvetica Bold with both a white and black outline. For example:

Just, y'know, with more anti-aliasing. Also, if we don't have form changes this time around:

How does Mega Charizard work?

Wait one more month to hear the release date to be announced and two more for the actual launch.

I don't know if I can take it.
