The Ps4 can do voice commands without a camera and I am sure so could the One just using a mic, but they really want to sell you that thing.

Also the better rework that OS now.

That's what I was wondering. You'd still have the mic. So I would think it would be possible. However if it's built into the Kinect as said then I guess that's that.

What?! No it isn't. There was no misrepresentation. They're not dropping kinect support. Early adopters knew what they were buying. If they were buying something they didn't want, they shouldn't have made the purchase!

So a device that was developed for years to be an always-online machine that utilizes the Kinect as a central feature is being half-assedly overhauled and changed within the first year to resemble something that consumers would actually want to buy.

They are flailing, trying desperately to grab on to the coattails of the PS4. This doesnt exactly give me the warm and fuzzy feeling about Microsofts plans for the future of Xbox since they will basically just throw away any business model at the drop of a hat.
