Use this link to get the best experience. It's a guide that includes all of the cutscenes of P3FES that got edited down/reduced for P3P. Now you have the best of both worlds.

I've already gone through part of p3p before. I'd just like to continue where I left off but on Vita. I'll use this though :)
Even if I am using FemMC

Sony's commitment to Vita in a nutshell

SCEJA -> funding new internal and external exclusive games

SCEE -> funding new internal and external exclusive games and getting tons of indies aboard, + jrpgvita

SCEA -> ps3 ports, and hey there's remote play too and oh don't forget about psnow! [indie only on PS4]

Yeah, i still need to do my FemMC run myself. Think im going to do that and my first run through P4Golden (watched the endurance run of the original) before P5 hits.

How does Persona 3 Portable look on the Vita?
I'm late answering, but I don't care. It looks great. I particularly enjoyed mapping the X button to the bottom right touchscreen. Advancing text, giving battle commands, and more are so much less taxing on the system. Works beautifully, too.

Bought Cel Damage HD today, looks and plays nice and is pretty fun in splitscreen (PS4). For the price it's completely worth it, especially with 3-platform cross-buy.

The Vita port is also surprisingly very good, shame for no multiplayer though :( native res and good framerate.

Lol pretty much. Though you're giving SCEE too much credit imo.

It doesn't seem like SCEA has ever really supported the idea of portable gaming. Neither the PSP or the Vita have ever been properly marketed, nor supported with adequate software. It's a shame really.

Hopefully the new, Shawn Layden, turns things around.

at e3

they will announce it for ps4

I think this game actually relys a lot on touchscreen controls. Like you have to guide the girl holding hands with her and other stuff.

Lol pretty much. Though you're giving SCEE too much credit imo.

Killzone and Tearaway both were from English studios. Invizimals was from an Spanish studio. Shahid's team works for SCEE. The famous JRPG campaign was SCEE's, MegaPacks are a SCEE things, they don't exist in Europe. The Vita is nowhere to be seen on E3, but it has a strong presence at GamesCom.

I think SCEE is doing a much better job with the Vita that SCEA.

I think the Vita is already a lost cause. They can try to improve things, but I think it's already to late to try and get mainstream appeal.

They just need to have a moderate budget and do the best they can with what they have just like SCEE does. SCEJ will be the one that will carry the Vita in the next few years until there is a succesor or it just dies.

Out of space on my 32GB! D:

Where's the cheapest place to get a 64GB? I'm looking at SuperUFO and its a decent price, but that shipping time is killing me .-.

If Persona 3 Portable was 4,99€ on EU I'd definitely double dip
I've never played it before. Always wanted it but never owned a PSP. I got my Vita last week with Persona 4 and I'm liking it a lot so I'm looking forward to Persona 3 too.

Got $40 sitting in my PSN account, and I don't know what Vita game to buy. After finishing Fire Emblem :A, Last Window, and going on a binge of puzzle games like Layton and Slitherlink, my mind is just drained.

I dunno if I'd recommend DR to someone whose mind is drained. I mean, it's not like you've got to figure out anything difficult, but some of those trials last a long ass time and the game does at least demand you pay a reasonable amount of attention.

TxK is my default recommendation, but that's probably not appropriate either. You also gotta like arcadey games, because that's one of the arcadiest arcadey games that ever arcaded.

Tearaway might be good if you want something mindless, pleasant, and cathartic.

VLR is so good with the uncanny. I think it's won the record of the game to make my eyes tear up the most.

So far I got a to be continued and a game over.

Get both honestly. If you're choosing which to play first I would say VLR. Though for me personally the actual gameplay for Dangitronpaul was a lot funner then VLR despite VLR having one of strongest story narrative in a game.

Standard reminder of play 999 on DS before you play VLR to get the most out of it.

SCEE are the underrated saviours of Sony.

As well as having a dedicated Vita team who work to get 3rd party content on the platform, recent stuff that came from SCEE:

PS Minis
The post PSN hack welcome back package
PS+

SCEA only trumps SCEE with the sales they get.

While I mostly agree that it's a lost cause, is it because of natural market forces or because of just how little SCEA has supported it?

While smartphones have negatively impacted sales, the fact that the 3DS is still doing reasonably well suggests the Vita's failure is more a result of SCEA's ineptitude than anything else.

One exclusive big name title like GTA would go a long way in moving units but it would obviously require Sony to fund most, if not all of production, which is why it will likely never happen. Heck, even some other made for the system titles like Infamous would help.

i saw the physical version of minecraft for vita pop on amazon in my email. 17 pounds... i guess i'll have to order it from Game since amazon doesn't ship to me anymore. no release date yet, though

if nothing else, a GTA, Metal Gear or Infamous would at least eliminate 75% of the annoying comments i read on Vita-related articles and videos

SCEA simply isn't supporting it. Lord only knows how many millions of dollars they've spent to moneyhat publishers for their home console but unfortunately they're not about to do the same for their handheld.

Is Broken Sword 5 worth it? I loved 1 and 2 and I was thinking of buying BS5 but the problem is well... The price. Is it worth it or should I wait for the inevitable BS5 Chapter 1+2 bundle?

is Danganronpa better than VLR?

how similar are they?

Well... The "premise" is kind of similar (then again, they were made by the same company) but you get to do more in DanganRonpa (hanging out with other people, gathering collectibles). I liked DanganRonpa a bit more than VLR but the story of VLR is more mature (and the 3D doesn't look so bad).

I enjoyed VLR more than dang it ron paul.

Bought it on the 3DS & I bought it on the Vita.

I'd buy it again.

Good queetion. Last BS game I played was Knights of the Templar, and I wonder how favorably BS5 stacks up to that.

I really hated the puzzles in VLR, although that might have mostly been because of the controls. Everything felt so sluggish.

Puzzles where fine in VLR. Yes they felt sluggish at times due to the somewhat awkward controls, but they provided a good enough challenge.

Speaking of Danganronpa...
Does anyone think NISA is planning on revealing Danganronpa 2's limited edition next month? It's the only reason I'm holding off from buying it.

SCEA made several games for Vita, and they secured the two best selling third party franchises in Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed for its first year. The kind of gaming that SCEA usually gets behind in marketing and development is just not doable on handhelds anymore, so there's nothing else they can do really.

People should also keep in mind it's called SCE Worldwide Studios and if SCEA is making ports and Bend is working on PS4 that was ultimately decided by Yoshida (and that decision was driven by the market).

Would you recommend it over dangan ronpa?
Haven't played Danganronpa. Sorry.

Loved the puzzles, but not a fan of the controls. I should try the DS stylist, because 999 worked better with one. I would've just played the 3DS, but I didn't want to see previously selected options my sister did on her run. That's why I'm even playing on the Vita. I liked the used of the two screens on 999, so VLR isnt playing like I want it to.

VLR 3DS would of have been the GOAT version if it wasn't for that stupid puzzle game breaking bug.

It's a shame no patch was never released for it. Heck, I'm wondering why Nintendo doesn't try and keep the series exclusive to them. The third game needs funding after all...

it would be a sad sad day for gaming if the VLR series becomes exclusive to Nintendo handhelds.... I would prefer to play handheld games on the Vita (I own both... but seriously Vita > 3DS in terms of controls, screen and more)

Zero Escape series e_e

It really wouldn't be a sad day for gaming since the series is pretty overlooked. Sales are awful in Japan. An exclusive Zero Escape 3 means we can at least get a Zero Escape 3. Nintendo has 999 and the series plays better on their dual-screen platforms, so it's just a good fit.

my bad on the naming :X
if they do become exclusive, I sure hope it's on the next Nintendo handheld (with better screen and better ergonomics (and controls) - I don't need HD... but at least give me a high pixel density screen)

That's why the realistic possibly of the Vita being Sony's last entry in the handheld department sucks. Someone needs to challenge Nintendo and make sure they keep up with advancing technology.

Not every handheld game needs to be on the Vita.

There are certain games that works best on either the 3DS or the Vita.

I don't deny that. some games definitely work better with 3DS layout (dual-screens etc). I have a big 3DS library but that hardware limits my personal enjoyment

games like Layton, FF:Theartythmn etc, work wonderfully on the 3DS

EDIT: TYPO!

Continuing on my P4G journey, just got to the part where MC, Chie, and Yosuke all fall into the TV in Junes. This game is so well voice-acted and pretty funny too. I'm liking it over P3P so far.
