Have a case and a screen protector. Gotta keep my baby safe :)
Yes, exactly how I feel! Even if I never take it out of it's protective zone of my home, I'd still have a small case & screen protector on it.

Still though, I think it's great seeing all of these different responses to how naked their Vita is. To each their own, as everyones living situations are different, I could see many scenarios where a case would be a waste.

I usually leave my vita naked if I'm just using it around the home, otherwise if I'm out I put the silicon protective thing on. (I use a screen protector of course, I learned that the hard way with my old ds.)

Although I'm looking into getting a better grip at some point since my hands and wrists are starting to cramp from long playsessions.

Soul Sacrifice Delta almost looks native res at times (+ bonus evil Pop Tart).

Gotta love the evil Pop Tart.

How can you tell when something is native res? I guess I'm not paying too much attention to that as long as it's not ugly looking. ha ha
Most games that aren't native res are noticeably blurry. It's usually easy to tell on the Vita for me.

From Soul Sacrifice to Senran Kagura

Vita gives us Pop Tarts and Top Parts
That's actually supposed to be an evil painting, which is why he's holding two brushes. I prefer to think they're Pop-Tarts though.

Now that Raiden IV: Overkill has been on PSN for awhile, I'm starting to get hyped to be able to play R-Type Dimensions again. This time on PS3 (with enhanced audio)

I bought R-Type Dimensions the day it came out on XBLA in early 2009 but don't have a 360 anymore.

For those that never played R-Type Dimensions or even seen it in action, here's the English PS3/PSN trailer: http://youtu.be/HFhzBhEucYM

XBLA gameplay trailer from 2009: http://youtu.be/L4sUMs5trNI

Roll on May 20th in NA and the 21st for the EU.

Just went through my last full playthrough of KH 1.5. Now time to finish up the last tasks in the game for the Platinum. I don't think I'm going to be playing KH1 for while after this lol.

Man, I've returned to Rayman Legends to complete some stuff I had left and now I remember why I have a lot hate relationship with the Vita version. The touch screen levels AI is like I remember it, bad, especially when you want to want to get everything.

And there was a Dark Rayman level that almost made me throw the Vita to the wall.

And 8-bit levels can be rather hard on Vita's 5" screen.

I still like this game and Origins a lot more than the New Super Mario Bros games I've played though. Not saying those are bad.

I just feel like a vita screen protector is like taking that sweet, sweet porsche out for a Sunday drive..but leaving the car cover on...let that b*tch shine in all its glory!

Is this port worth a Jackson?

It depends what you're looking for, and whether you can deal with some graphical issues. Personally, I found it perfectly playable and quite fun (I platinumed it even), but others found it boring or criticized it for its downgraded graphics and frame drops while open-world swinging.

Cheers. I think I'll pass.

I haven't seen to much talk of Wolfenstein the past couple weeks. It seems like its getting overshadowed by Watchdogs and Pre-E3 hype. I think it looks incredible!

And Transistor! Finally some shit to play on my PS4.

See, I agree, but with a caveat. If I had a porsche and could afford another one if the one I had got messed up, I would take it out in all its glory all the time. But if I had saved up for months to finally get a porsche god knows I would put every layer of protection on it possible to avoid damaging my new purchase, because boy would I feel salty if I took it out and got a ding or dent that couldn't be fixed (yea I know body shops exist, but work with the analogy here!).

A screen protector may make it look/feel a little worse, but I can peel it off and put a new one on if it gets scratched. If my vita screen got scratched, it would ruin the system both aesthetically as well as making it harder to see games. And I certainly can't afford a new one if that were to happen without a screen protector. Now, I am very careful and I have never had a phone or system screen scratched, but crazy accidents do happen and I can't afford to leave something like ruining my $200 system as an option if I can prevent it!

My first PSP came with a copy of Gretzky NHL as part of a True Canadian Launch Bundle™. The game was super janky as the controls felt off, and it lacked a bunch of features. Sony did a followup the next year, but EA released NHL 07 on PSP, so I bought that instead. I had issues with that version as well, but I coped. There hasn't been an NHL game on a dedicated handheld since. It's not much better on iOS/Android either, since 2K did one or two and stopped once they dropped the license. IIRC they were super bare bones too.

Oh, I had that wrong. Sony released two NHL games on PSP in 2005, one at launch in March and the other timed with the start of the season. They stopped after that. Then EA did NHL 07 in 2006, which was the last NHL game on PSP.

Every year I'm sort of tempted to give this guy money.

Don't worry, Playstation Now should be available in Canada soon.

Anyone else having problems? Or is it just me and my system? I keep getting booted out of single player of Tomb Raider and I get an error message ..

"An error has occured in the following application. (CE-34878-0)"

Got my first 1.70 error (CE-36287-6). No idea what caused it, but happened twice while trying to connect to a live stream and once while in the PS Store. Anyone else familiar with this error? GAF and Google searches come up short.

Sony have info here.

Ughh it looks like this is a known issue with PS4 and Tomb Raider. When you get about 75% in and you're at shipwreck beach it corrupts save files.

I'm well and truly fucked because in addition to this, for some reason for the past two weeks or so my ps4 can't/won't save to online storage for any game I'm playing. So my last save online was pretty much from the start of the game. :(

The game was about promoting music and you actually thought it was going to a be a Vita only game? It didn't make sense at all IMO. I was expecting it to be multiplatform / timed exclusive.

It's a tycoon game, the touchscreen is perfect for it so the assumption isn't weird. It's also not a big budget game from the looks of it and the Vita does (did?) get some exclusives from SCEE.
I am still not convinced Sony will make every Vita game multiplatform.

Ridge racers PSP, Ridge racer type 4 PSOne

Possibly also split/second PSP but I've not played it (loved the PS3 version thoug)

The PSP did have great racers but I bought the Vita for Vita games, already had a PSP. I am not the absolute graphics nerd but having the higher fidelity is important for me. Think €10 are fair for the game and even the €15.50 that I payed for being an idiot and buying the DLC is also ok.
The actual gameplay is fun, the content is ok with the ultimate package. I can understand why this game got bad reviews though. Full price with all the microtransactions are a big rip off.

There are only 4 good racers on the Vita. I don't like Sonic Racing, Wipeout is different with the futuristic racing and NFS: MW also has a different handling even though it is also an arcade racer.

This problem has been known for a long time. I'm surprised they still haven't patched it yet.

Hello VitaGAF.

Been a long time lurker here, but just wanted to pop in to say hi since my account was just activated and everyone seems so friendly here.

I'm sporting both an OLED Vita as well as a Light Blue 2000.

I keep the 2000 inside one of those Nintendo Animal Crossing Pouches just because the pouch looks so soft. Blasphemous huh? :)

Well, most of us also owns a 3DS so you're not alone in blasphemous act ;-) I was also one of this before, but due to RL I have to sell my 3DS and focused on my Vita.

Looks like we were both part of the same batch. :D

To keep my post relevant to the thread, whats the consensus of the vita port of Phantasy Star Online 2? I played the PC version quite heavily and am wondering if it's worth the import and the gargantuan memory card required.

Welcome to VitaGAF. Always nice to see new Vitabros/Vitacats/Vitamuffins.

top of the page recommendations: buy Muramasa Rebirth (or get PS+ if you are in EU) and Ys: Memories of Celceta!

I occasionally use the Club Nintendo pouch for my Vita too. If Nintendo didn't want me to use it for that purpose, they shouldn't have made it the perfect size for a Vita. ;)
