Probably more of the same, game montage, talking about the ps3 success near the end of it's lifecycle, briefly touch on some games that were already announced, game montage.
They'll talk about the Vita for minute, then move onto the playstation network and the new services coming for it like PSNow. They'll showcase a bunch of indie games exclusive to the playstation network, maybe even Axiom Verge gameplay. An indie game montage of course after that.
Then they'll talk about how well the PS4 has been doing and show off some more games by Western developers.
Then either Hideo Kojima shows the MGS5 trailer he's been working on, Gabe Newell announces something with a 3 in it with their continuing support for console gaming, or we get another 15-20 minute Ubisoft game demo that we've already seen before.
After that one final game montage and we rate the conference the best of the bunch. (Unless megatons are dropped by the others.)

Im not sure how they are gonna do it this year lol. Do they cover EVERYTHING they have or just highlight a few?
Why would you expect Call of Duty?
Will they show Uncharted? It likely underwent a huge shift in direction in late March, early April. They lost a ton of studio talent (Hennig, Wells, et cet) as well as the antagonist's VA. I'm skeptical that they've readied anything given the very recent sea change in production.

Why would it need to be spiritual successor? Sony owns WipeOut, correct? Or spiritual since it's not going to be the same studio who has made the past WipeOut games. Eh either way I welcome a new WipeOut that I'll be terrible at but enthralled with on the PS4.
Maybe a teaser at best. I'd rather see The Order given all the first party attention this year anyway. It's their big holiday game.

Hopefully a bunch of good surprises. Maybe bring back 1 or 2 nostalgic properties. A cinematic Uncharted trailer. Order stage demo. A 15-20 min indie presentation. Battlefield Next trailer. MGS 5. Assasins Creed. $349
I expect a fairly tame E3 showing from Sony. Maybe one or two surprises. They'll show The Last of Us Remastered and some Ubisoft game they've got exclusive content for (Far Cry 4 seems a safe bet). Another couple new Vita and PS3 games (first footage Persona 5 would be cool). The Order will impress. They'll unveil a PS4 God of War. They'll unveil Media Molecule's new IP. They'll tease Guerilla's new IP. You'll see another PS3-to-PS4 up-port. Curtain closes.

That would be a pretty disappointing show on so many levels. Sony needs more games that are fun and have broad-appeal, not more cinematic/narrative-driven 3rd person action games.

SMS 2nd game was canceled early this year. So at best, we get a CGI trailer of one SMS game. Unless it's an indie collab game with another dev team.

Probably their collaboration titles. Seth Killian made it sound like SSM is working with a sizable number of external devs on unannounced.

Hopefully someone at Sony is paying attention to what Microsoft is doing with the early price cut, paywall 180, Halo 5, etc. announcements. Microsoft understands it's in a tough spot, so they will be announcing every 2015 and 2016 title at E3 that they possibly can, in the hopes of swaying customers to buy a Xbox now while they are dreaming of future games.
If Sony does it standard E3 conference, where they focus 70% of their time on showing us already announced games (e.g., Destiny, AC Unity, Dragon Age, Mad Max, etc.) Microsoft is going to eat their lunch. Sony needs to do a much better job on showing new games (AAA and Indie) than they did last E3. They won't have the HW, DRM and price announcements to carry them like last time.

Uncharted + Project Beast + TLG is better than anything MS could possibly show. Throw in the new MM game and GG's new game and it's going to be an easy "win" for Sony
I doubt either company is going to announce new games for 2014. The new games reveals will likely be for 2015

Beast would make Sony win in neogaf or some other game forums. Everywhere else, this is a nice game but nowhere near as big as the hardcore fanbase behind the Souls series want it to be. TLG is also very niche but has a big push from gaming media, so it would make a big push towards "winning" it. It also depends on what MS will show.
IMO for Sony, either TLG or Crash would play a big role. If for some reason both show up, than Sony would win hands down and it would end up being arguably their best E3 ever.

Probably. Provided what they have to show and say about The Last Guardian is tangible. And I don't think they'd make that mistake again.
Although that said, a game from Platinum and Shenmue 3 (I don't think it's happening, but it could be a possibility) at the MS conference would put up a strong fight.
You know Cambridge and London are different places? There's no way Naughty Dog are working on The Last of Us PS4, Uncharted 4 and another game as well. And Santa Monica's second game was scrapped earlier this year.

Absolutely no interest in Beast here whatsoever, although I get that the Souls series has a huge fanbase on GAF. But TLG? If it's announced with an actual release date, then yes. Auto-win. Short of Nintendo or Microsoft pulling a megaton, anyway.

I expect Sony to announce some stuff prior to E3. Likely to get it out of the way. I think that there will only be a bit of time for 3rd parties. It'll be Destiny and possibly a few unexpected titles. I don't see Crash making a return, but some PSX IP are bound to make an appearance. It is time to unleash the hounds

Part of me thinks there will be a Knack 2 reveal. I have no sources at all but think Sony may try to make a franchise out of it.

kewl, I wouldn't mind DD2 becoming multiplatform because that would increase the playerbase and the chances of more expansions/sequels. I don't want it to be an xbone exclusive because that would prevent me from playing it until halo 5 comes out or 2016 :-S

DD like Dino Crisis has too much potential and I doubt they'll let it sit.They could make some Skyrim money if they pull it off correctly. I think We'll see DMC 5 first, simply because it's likely a cheaper game to make and judging from the previous titles, it's likely to sell more.

Yup, he expressed desire for working on DD2, DMC5 and Rival Schools 3. Not much else has been said about either of them since.
Here's hoping DD2's fate isn't riding on how good or bad Deep Down does.
It had good sales in Japan, doubt Capcom would want to abandon the region by going X1 exclusive with the game.
