Anyone can do it as long as you have some credit, right? I have mediocre credit and was instantly approved for $1800.

Seems like a no brainer.

I have no credit. lol

I live by saving up school allowance.

Although the situation is much better now, in my country's economy you'd be hard pressed to find a job if you haven't graduated yet. I live in a place where school janitors need a high school diploma to work. Plus my parents don't want me to work while studying.

I second this.
Glad to see we agree

so I can win awesome artwork like you did
I don't think they would have shipped outside of the US anyway. Also, unless you had a Gold Trophy in FFX HD Remaster you couldn't enter anyway. I got two entrees since I had the Platinum Trophy :P

you need a Social Security Number right?
the rest of us outside the US can't apply

I really need to learn that the world =/= the US. That's like the second time this week I assumed something. Sorry.

Say, is corrosivefrost one of the folks that went AWOL due to the thread merge?

ME3 just notified me that my N7 rank has surpassed him and that makes we wonder. On the previous threads he's one of the most active posters.

Either you like it or not. I would be interested in reading why someone doesn't like it since the ratio of good reports about it is very high.

Ok.

I. Didn't. Like it.

I could tell that it was a very polished game and that if I was into the genre, I probably would have loved it but it just wasn't for me.

I bought it because of all the glowing reports and I felt like I was missing out on something (I still feel like in missing out on something) but the gameplay just didn't click with me.

For the record: I put about 8-10 hours into the game.

I think Corrosive's intereste started to waver more towards PC so he stopped posting regularly. I still see him post from time to time.

Yeah. He migrated to the steam thread the same time he built his new PC. Now he's a regular wall of shame person there. With all the giveaways there, no wonder.

How do the hell do you people get through p3p. Each dungeon is like as long as the ones in P4G but you get them every month instead of every two or three and they have no significance to the story like they do in P4G.

To help you grind xp for the coming boss every full moon. Besides, you need to climb to the top anyway.

I basically just scale the tower until I'm barred from the next floor then I just spend my time mingling with muh waifus until the full moon.

Your characters getting exhausted means that you'll be revisiting a few times to get to the top though unlike P4's way where you can do a dungeon in a single day.

Knowing that I'm grinding XP while climbing the tower doesn't make it any less boring.
I'm just doing it one day. Took me like 2 hours >:(

Sure! You want my copy of Folklore too?

they don't get tired until the next day in p3p though so you can do everything in one day really easily

My bad. I've only played Vanilla P3 so I don't know anything about the extra characters and fem MC except that her exclusive soundtracks rocks.

for me P3P>P3FES>P3 in terms of music.

GAF i have some credit left on my account and i want to buy a game, so, can i pay the exact remaining amount with paypal or do i need to add funds on scale ALA 5,10,20 and so on?

It's a devious link! It's like those "answer survey, get free credits" but never give you anything thing. We'll answer the survey and we'll get no KH. LOL

I have no idea where to hang it :lol
Right next to your Soul Sacrifice Delta t-shirt :P

This is one of the reasons I dropped P3P, now that I've played Persona 4 I think I'll come back to it though.
Eventually.
Ugh, I was hoping Sony would have had at least Guerrilla Cambridge and Bend working on Vita games. Are none of their first parties making Vita games?
All we have left at the moment seems to be Japan support :(
I just jumped at the tentacles and kept slashing it. The tentacles would die, and I'd fall in the water which was easy to get out of since you just keep tapping square I think. I don't think I used secret arts, just regular slashing.
That's prettymuch what I did aswell.
I just finished Muramasa Rebirth on the Vita and my first thought was: Why did it took me so much to play this game? I absolutely loved it my good fellow GAFfers!

Visuals are really nice, varied and relaxing. Took me about 7-ish hours to finish it once because I found myself staring at wind dancing with the leafs or watching those vibrant colours when the sun was going away. The music was also good, specially the one from the "Start Menu" screen. I finished the game on Normal difficulty, without looking to get trophies, just plain fun and I'm very happy for having the chance to play this game. Highly recommend it and, again, I feel ashamed it took me so long to play this. I bow in shame to my VITA-BROS.

I plan on replaying the game at a later date with the other character but right now it's time to move to another Vita game and that will be God of War 1. :)
Glad to see you enjoyed it Monk! I'm sure you'll enjoy the other scenerio when you come back to it eventually aswell.

Just picked up a PS4 for $299 on Amazon. $100 off when you sign up for their credit card? Yes please.

Bought it, paid it off immediately. Shipped it to my mother in Illinois to save on tax.

Thanks for the free $100!

Ahh thanks for letting me know about this offer! Been meaning to get another credit card anyway (it is pretty stupid that in order to increase your credit score over like 750 that you need multiple different cards), and this was a really nice offer as Amazon credit is as good as cash. Between this and my text book trade ins, my PS4 will be virtually free! No more sharing one with my brother, which is good since he is moving to California in August.

Honestly, the gameplay isn't what makes the game great to begin with; its polished and very good looking...but it's only there to get the job done. From what I played (about...20 hours I think), only 6-8 of my 20 hours went into the dungeon crawling; everything else was story stuff, forming social links and just exploring the world. The game isn't phrased here for its gameplay, it's phrased for its world building, characters, and many things to do.

Granted, I find story to be the BIG part of RPG's (with the gameplay being the 'glue' holding things together; that glue can be a blast though, as Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series prove, but my points still stands :)), so that may be my opinion speaking, but Persona 4 does such a great job nailing its story, that its good, not great gameplay really doesn't bother me.

Keep in mind I just got the game two weeks ago via Japanese sale, so I am a fish-out of water case here (don't play RPG's outside of Kingdom Hearts and the Mario RPG's), so my views on this may not be super helpful :).

There isn't much to do in the game. I played up until you go to the dungeon for that one actress. It was pretty much social links or dungeons. If the dungeons were good and had puzzles then it wouldn't be that bad but they aren't. They are terrible. There is no world exploring that I noticed. I saw the same places 30+ times and they arent even big. The map makes it look big but you only get to pick about 4 places to travel to. I don't think it's a good RPG but the story stuff would lend itself to a good visual novel if they cut out the dungeon crap.

Well the world does open up a bit as you progress through the game
(once you get your motorbike, you can start exploring a bit more)
, but for the first 3-6 hours, the game is very linear; you have some cutscenes, head to the the dungeons, kill the big boss, chill with your friends and ect. I must ask, what difficulty are you playing the game on? If it's normal or above, you end up sticking with the dungeons for quite a while (the fights are harder and you have less chances to retry). If you play the game on Easy, the dungeons are cake walks, making you time in them much shorter and giving you more time to enjoy the story :).

Granted, I get why you aren't into the game; its gameplay is only 'good', and even then, its boiled down to the combat being that (I agree with you on the dungeons, for such creative looks...they all feel the same, guess that is what you face with randomly generated locations :l). If you don't enjoy the story and cannot hold out a few more hours, then I don't think you will fully enjoy the game sadly :(.

Its great you gave it a shot though; some times it doesn't click, but maybe latter on it will for you :).

lol @ Operation Babe Hunt in P3P as FemMC
Akihiko and Junpet get cold shoulder from Aigis
Aigis goes and hugs FemMC
Junpei and Akihiko come running in
Akihiko: ....So that's her preference

I might give it another shot someday. I did like the story and maybe bumping down the difficulty might help the tedium of the dungeons. Only problem is some of the side quests seem to require you to go back into dungeons you've been in and I have no desire to go back into any of them. I purchased Persona 4 Arena and really enjoy that much more.

8/1 FemMC P3P
WHAT THE FUCK
THIS MUSIC
I KNOW IT
Inaba :D

Edit:
Yukiko :O :O :O

Edit 2: Music in the inn. This keeps getting better

all these P3 talk means we really need a definitive version on Vita

No we don't need atlus to milk the persona cow any more than they already did.

Also just wanna say, after owning the vita for awhile the 3DS draining the battery so fast even in sleep mode is starting to piss me off quite a bit.

after using the Vita more and more, the 3DS just puts me off quite a bit :(

hmm. I seriously wouldn't mind a Persona 3 Sapphire...

I agree that Atlus shouldn't milk it too much but as you can see. There is demand for a rerelease. Instant cash too.

Especially with the release of the Persona 3 movies.

Sloth damsel is in. You have to select the dog like 20+ times (just spam X once you select dog in options) and it will change to sloth eventually. Not sure if permanent or anything, never played PC version with sloth. Really glad about no knew trophies, there are some steam achievements that are really terrible to get, such as finish the game without picking up any money the whole game.

Also, funny story, but the choppiness on some levels actually saved my first ever successful hell run. Finally killed yama and went to exit, but there were two bats on top I didn't see. Thanks to slowdown I was able to react in time. That said, I wouldn't mind if they fixed it, but it is pretty infrequent that levels with slowdown pop up so it isn't a deal breaker for me.

Oh cool, I didn't know it was a secret, giving it a try now.

Edit oh man sooo cuuute.

Oh man olliolli

Those controls are devious. Somewhere in the middle of nearly every run something in my brain switches and I think x is olli and the stick is just for tricks. It bucks decades of 2d platforming muscle memory and if you fuck it up once your run is over. Best skateboarding game I've played in like a decade.
