How much longer is maintenance? I just got a new modem so I need to forward ports on all my systems to log in but when I go to test it it says PSN is under maintenance. Ugh. :( Thanks.

Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I just got a ps4 and was wondering if Battlefield 4 is worth a purchase? I remember the game being a buggy mess at launch and was wondering if that had been worked out, on PS4 at least. I really want a good multiplayer shooter, and i'm call of dutied out.

It can still be buggy sometimes but its just an immensely fun game. Despite the bugs, glitches, and general issues I have managed to rack up around 115 hours since launch. I actually really love the naval strike maps. They are a good balance between infantry and vehicles, a critcism I have of the vanilla maps.

Won't battlefield 5 be out soon? If you waited this long why get bf4 now?

Probably can get BF4 cheap, can play it all summer, and BF5 won't be out until November at the earliest I'd guess. All things aside, even though I've had a lot of fun with 4 I wouldn't trust Dice to launch 5 in an acceptable state either.

Ill just ask this again here as the EU sale thread is pretty much dead.

Can I get some answers regarding red alert /retaliation (ps1 classics)

1. Do both work on vita?
2. Whats the major differences between the 2, content, performance etc..
3. If it does work on vita, how well does it play? Is it easy to play (icons etc.. not too small?)

Thanks in advance

Is Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny(PSP) any good?

It's basically a more broken Soul Calibur 4(you'll never know unless you play competitive and have friends that also have the game to play with) on the go minus arcade, tower, star wars characters and online. It features a weird long tutorial/story mode that's just unfun imo,Kratos, and is the first game Dampierre appears in the franchise who is a very fun character to play as. You'll be spending most of your time playing quick match and customization. Game also looks amazing for a PSP game and better looking than most 3DS games if that matters.

I'd say wait for a cheaper price if it ever happens.

The first NGS+ was native res and looked impressive, although it only ran at 30 fps. The second one was significantly worse (not native res, some framerate drops).

Thanks, i already have both on ps3, but i want the first in my vita.

Only ninja gaiden 1.

you can change his/her fate if you play as femc. I said his/her to not spoil gender for those of you who click this anyways.

Yeah I've heard what happens.

End game spoilers
I somewhat know the ending of the game as well. Only know that MC "dies" or something. I don't know if they actually die though or if they suffer some other fate that pretty much makes them a potato.

What did killatopak do to you?

What do you mean?

Lmao at this extremely long credits roll after losing to first boss, mid-boss in Disgaea, ahahahha

Edit: the game legit just asked if i wanted to save and carry over to NG+ lmfaoooo wtf

Goddamnit. Finally got to the Ice Caves while holding the Golden Key, but I died on stage 3-2. Will I ever beat Spelunky?

Honestly, I never used a single shortcut after unlocking them, they are kind of pointless. You can't get to Hell if you use them (since you need one item from each stage to get in) and once you've beat Olmec once there's really no point in playing unless you are trying to get to hell. Also, most of a good run for me is determined by items I get in the mines, so skipping that would basically ensure I would have a bad run. Though I still got every shortcut, so completionism is a good enough reason. What I found interesting is that unlocking every shortcut is one of the only things there isn't a trophy for.

Speaking of completionism, I am more proud of this than any other game on my trophy list:
I could actually be talking about welcome park, some of those were surprisingly hard...

As someone who bought Spelunky during the 14 for 14 sale, have been playing roughly every day, and just finally beat hell a few days ago, it may seem like you aren't making progress, but you are. Incrementally and very slowly, but god is it satisfying when you finally accomplish something. Best part of finally getting 100% is now I don't feel pressure to play this non stop, I can do a daily challenge each day and that's it. Yea, might have become a bit of a compulsion/addiction at the end...

Yeah, I'm really just using the shortcuts to help familiarize myself with each area. I agree, it's much more satisfying to start from 1-1.

Also, holy shit at your trophy completion rate.

Maybe. Have a lot of homework I need to do since Finals week is next week
A'ight.
PS3's still busted. I'm getting a new one by the end of the month though.
*judging face*
definitely an awesome game. Based Kairosoft. Their games are always so addictingly good.
The replay value is surprisingly low though. But then you just buy another Kairosoft game! They should port them to Vita/PSM.

I'm checking out of E3 threads until E3. Too much either turfing or dumbness. Instead, I will talk about Transistor. Seriously. Who's hyped? I'm hyped. I hope Remote Play works well.

PSN is constantly undergoing maintenance (maintenance for what and why isn't it happening on their rival company's service?) and then when it isn't scheduled, it's still going down more than it should be. We are entitled to explanations and the 'server maintenance' isn't a good enough answer.

To prepare for E3 maybe?

"The Last Guardian will be available..... RIGHT NOW!"

The last guardian will be revealed this year. Count on it. Seriously though, why isn't there more uproar about this.

They've been burned and disappointed the past E3s. They're leaving their expectations in check. You wouldn't be disappointed if you expected nothing. On the other hand, If you don't expect anything and something comes up, imagine the surprise and joy.

Why would there be "uproar"?

Because TLG that's why.

Team Ico games aren't mainstream. They're critically aclaimed cult games but I don't think it has potential to sell more than 3 million units worldwide. Considering how long it's been in development I wonder if they'll be able to make a good profit on it.

And I think its audience doesn't overlap with GAF as much as other games like Dark Souls, which actually had some polemic a few weeks ago due to the graphic "downgradeton"

Yes but they're practically known by everyone by now due to all the TLG memes and E3 jokes.

Just by word of mouth, the mindshare about the game has already grown exponentially.

Imagine if this is what they really intented. :O

Been playing on my new PC for a while - don't hate me vitabros, I've been without one for like a year and a half or two, and I've always been a pc gamer so it's great being back. Just recently fired up the vita again for some luftrausers and spelunky and man the screen and d-pad still impress me so much.

No worries man. It's all good and fun. Besides, I too spend more time with my PC. It's doesn't mean I love my Vita less.

Just had a run for a few minutes in Muramasa using Miike. You don't really get any new skills down the road do you? Just stat enhancements and accessory-like skills?

It's gonna be heavier as we approach E3 and PlayStation Now.
Broke down and bought P3P.
At least girl protag makes double dipping worth it.
I know right? Best protagonist. And she has new awesome music. Much better than that punk emo MC.

Is Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny(PSP) any good?

It is a suited to handheld SC IV. They removed Vader and Yoda and the SCIV Story mode. The single player part is more arcade mode, a tower mode and AI challenges. Added a pretty good tutorial, Kratos and Dampierre. Graphics are pretty good for a PSP game (the bamco PSP magic). CAS isn't as robust as the console version, but it gets the job done.

All in all, I think that is a nice game, one of the best fighters on the PSP, but isn't SCIV on a handheld. If you don't care for the story mode, and only the arcade part of it, you will love it.

I have now finished five games (two platinums) in nine days of owning a Vita. I do think it really sucks that there's no support for more than one account like on PS3/PS4 though. Is there any chance that they might add that in a firmware update? I know that they made it even harder to switch accounts in one of the updates so the chances are probably slim...

Otherwise, not that it needs to be said here but it really is a great handheld.

Aye. There's one that increases the number of cats on the cat rain, too. Never found that attack useful, tho.

Gonbe's skill tree is similar too - stats, acc effects and one or another small upgrade in his secret arts and farmer pals.

Lol I think you vastly overestimate the level of outrage concerning the delay.
