Toon Link SHOULD get new final smash.

GAF has been getting more and more heated over time. Actual, intelligent discussion about games has fallen to the wayside; dick-measuring about framerates/resolutions, cheap drive-by one-liners and banderas.gif have taken its place. People, in desire of intelligent discussion, congregate in community threads and megathreads, only for said megathreads to be shut down as the mods want the good people in there to post outside of those threads, as well, thereby bringing up the quality of the overall board; an admirable goal, but unfortunately, that hasn't really been happening as a result. (We actually had a discussion about the whole "people posting in insular communities instead of spreading out" problem in SonicGAF late last year.)

Basically, all of this really put qq more off, so he decided to quietly leave GAF.

I agreed with Darkschala and anihawk. Most of threads are getting pretty bad lately.

That's basically what I mean. His top was thematically the only correct thing rob did, but it was his dumbest move. Waste of time to use for the damage/utility it provided. I also agree that his up B was a bit too powerful, like pit's. It should change to something similar to pit's, or something close to charizard's new side B, or the fire fox.

Yeah, that's pretty much what in expecting. Something like Fox's/ZSS/Pit's up B. It's a little disappointing, but that's probably what will happen.

As far as moves go, I consider ROB to be an original SSE character loosely based on the toy. That's why he shoots lasers and why his icon also incorporates the SSE logo into it. He's also arguably the closest thing to a main character in SSE that isn't from Kirby.

Rob's final smash was great, no need to change it

It was good in play, but it's also super boring and uninspired.

Project M changed those specials quite nicely. Hopefully there's something in the same vein as that, like the changes with Pit, 'cause ROB is awesome.

Yeah, PM ROB is perfect, but I'm not gonna set myself up for disappointment haha.

We may not agree on much , but I agree with you here.

But I suppose the more in depth version of that conversation is for another time.

He could use the gyro stand, he could just fire lasers freaking everywhere, he could start firing missiles like crazy, he could call in the ROB army, he could bring in a subspace bomb, the options are pretty much limitless. ROBs final smash shows that Sakurai would consider anything that fits into the category of "things robots can do".

I've already said my bit on the Link/Toon Link final smash bit numerous times, but if either were to get a new FS, I'd say Link has more possibilities than TL does. Link can go with TP Wolf Link, SS Skyward Strike, or virtually any transformation masks from MM. Toon Link is bound to WW and his powerups there are limited. I could only see him actually using the Wind Waker to summon a gust of wind to blow away enemies, or Phantom Ganon Sword as a more powerful sword to be honest.

As far as Smash at E3 is concerned, I'm super pumped. Although, I really hope they do this invitational properly. Like, how we play it competitively. That's going to be a pretty big deal after the pro smashers speak their minds on the game thus far.

Well I don't think Ness and Captain Falcon will be starters, but we're still waiting on Jigglypuff, Falco, Wolf, Ike, ROB, Mr. Game and Watch, Ganondorf, and Meta Knight. That's pretty much it as far as veterans go I think.

His fighting style was very Wolverine-like, and we don't have many characters in Smash who use claws as their main weapon. I love unique heavy characters.
I also really liked Ike, he was pretty unique. That super slow, but super powerful thing he had going on was the business.
....I agree with Lucas though, but I'm not particularly attached to Earthbound anyway.

If Wolfs moveset was further away from Fox and Falco's I'd like him. I just don't like how every star fox character has a side dash, blaster, and mobile shield. Make them unique.

I just....I really don't like Ike. Too slow, I know hes a heavy hitter, but ugggh. Only FE character I ever liked was Roy, and they cut the fuck out of him.
