Still can't decide if +Vita will make me want to buy this game. It looks horrible* whatever platform it's on after all.

* - in all ways.
Meh, that's the style of it I guess.
I don't think that's Minecraft he's talking about? He says he's been experimenting with his own Vita dev kit himself, so could be this little project he has on the go.
Yeah, edited it, I'm not sure. Just makes the lack of actual news on it incredibly frustrating :\

It's depend on the game. Demon's Souls for instance have region locked online play. If you have Asia version, that'll mean you can only play with other people rom that region. There are other game that lets you play online with anyone regardless of region, but which game, I don't know the exact list.

Depends on the game.
If you bought Street Fighter X Tekken off US PSN for example, and you play it on EU account, you'll be paired up against everyone worldwide (or choose the option to be matched up against your region).

Is there any way to check what type a game uses?

I ask because I want to buy the UFC game from the US PSN because it's out 3 days earlier than here but I don't want to do it if the online connection is terrible.

Yes, but you get a physical version.

My personal interest went from never to maybe, thanks to this. I mean, it's only 3 euros more expensive than the european digital version.

I'm all over a physical version with english language. But the online pass thing is making me think twice..

Hmm I'm gonna assume UFC would allow you to play against anyone in the world regardless of where you purchased it from.

They could easily add another 300k with english release since GEB is quite established.

Do we actually have any knowledge if GE did well outside of Japan? No seriously.

I'm guessing that the reason GE2 hasn't even been announced yet was because the overseas numbers are on the not-worth-it levels (aka resources are better spent elsewhere).

I get this sense that if they probably did translate GE2 into english, you'd be thanking Asia instead of western countries.

Question that I'm guessing this would be the place to ask:
If PS3 Remote Play on Vita works well, does that usually mean PS4 remote play will work well too? Debating buying a PS4 and Remote Play is one of its biggest features to me.

So that's every released Science;Adventure game, then. Too bad we'll never see a single one make it over here.

Not including the PC version of Steins;Gate.

With Clannad and Chaos Head, Vita now only lacks Ever 17, Kanon and Umineko to be the definitive VN machine.

I completely forgot that Clannad was making its way to the Vita...
Sigh, if only there was a large enough market for these games outside of Japan.

Or if Key and 5pb aren't xenophobic and are actually eager to license their games outside Japan.

Well, Steins;Gate PC sales exceeded expectations by all accounts. Hopefully that will get 5pb. thinking about more localizations.
Also, apparently one of the S;G fan translators is working with C;H Noah in some capacity... he's been pretty secretive other than vague implications (and a screenshot of the script folder).

Notch confirms Minecraft on Vita is 60fps, no bugs. Gameplay videos soon.

Don't know if this has been posted before, I seem to be the only one obsessively following this port...

EDIT: Wait, I can find no confirmation if this is Minecraft or just another game Notch is developing for Vita D:

That's not Minecraft. Notch is developing a game on PlayStation Mobile.

I hope Bamco instantly localized GEB2 since they lately been on the role with Vita game localization. They could easily add another 300k with english release since GEB is quite established.

300k? Didn't an NPD leak for the first one paint a picture 1/10th of that?

I don't really understand your question. The PS4 and Vita remote play are completely different and better than the ps3. I have never had it work well on PS3 to Vita yet it works well for me. Just depends on the type of game though. Games with high framerate and low latency inputs are not going to do good on vita. But games like AC4 and Infamous work well.

Got from the bottom of my backlog Mutant Blobs Attack. Holy shit guys. this game shaves you with a load of fresh design ideas from the beginning of the game, I'm loving it.

Where the fuck is Duke Nukem 3D?? :(

Devolver Digital ‏@devolverdigital 12 min

Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition is being submitted for certification on PS3 and Vita this week - we'll keep you all posted on news! #GetSome

It's like they listened to you lol

But then again, certification can take ages...fucking Munch's Oddysee HD is in QA cert progress since forever. :/

OK guys.

Enchanted Arms...

Yes or No?

I found it on my local CEX for 6 euros.

There are plenty of (old) games for that price. But I think I never heard something about it.

I don't know if i was imagining things, or maybe I've seen something for another platform, but was there ever some sort of fire fighting game announced for the Vita? I'm pretty sure there was something, right? right?

hmm any thoughts on
Eternal Sonata
Nier

Both have great/amazing soundtracks.

Eternal Sonata has a nice artstyle and looks great. Gameplay is just okay and can get repetitive. Not a must play but it's not a bad choice if you have nothing else to play.

Nier has bad graphics and average gameplay but the characters, the story and the already mentioned soundtrack are amazing and it is no surprise that it has quite a fanbase despite its flaws (just remember to get all endings for the full impact). Definitely worth playing.

thanks guys... I'm on this weird adventure hunting down old PS3 games

on my list so far (repost from before)

Ratchet & Clank Future - A Crack in Time
Folklore
Heavenly Sword
Star Ocean IV - International Version
Bayonetta
Resonance of Fate
Asura's Wrath

thinking of adding
NIER
Eternal Sonata
El Shaddai

(thought of Catherine... but probably wait for it to get Plused)

I'm gonna say yes. It's low budget. Do not expect 50 billion NPCs with extensive dialog. Do not expect shops you can walk into (all stores are simply floating crystals somewhere in the world lol).
It still has HD towns though! And the combat system works and remains decently challenging all the way through.

Protag is a dumbfuck of satirical proportions. I'm in the camp who believes it's deliberate. But be aware.
Also, Makoto.

Catherine was already on plus for EU (99% sure)

<= birthday today.
<= got dumped today.
<= not sure if its a good or bad day.

What game should I buy to celebrate and cry at the same time. I'm thinking of buy that DOA5U costume set to enjoy seeing them while crying because I can't play them.

Happy Birthday! Who dumps someone on their birthday? Talk about a bad start. What systems do you own?

About damn time. Hope it's not like the F2P PSM version and we just get to buy a complete game.

What are you talking about? You do get to buy the complete game on PSM. You get the easy levels for free. You pay for the rest. What you get free is essentially a demo. Want to unlock the full game? Pay the £1.99.

Guess I didn't realise. Either way, the game was pretty much a rejigged Lemmings PSP. Will be nice to have a new, original version built ground-up for Vita.

Man, I've been trying to get a copy of Nier for like a week now. All local gamestops don't have any copies in stock, and can't order online. Ebay has all the used PS3 copies at something crazy like $30+. I wish all last gen games had a digital version too, I'd rather pay like $20 for a digital version than buy a terrible condition used disk only game for $20+.
