US/CAN Club Nintendo Thread: New and improved. Read the OP.

I just realised I had a bunch of Wii and DS games I had never registered. Incredibly annoying having to complete those surveys for 20 points, but at least I got enough points for Kirby.

I also found 3 codes for the Japanese club Nintendo. I know one is for the original DS system, the second for that music game that came in a shiny blue box whose title I can't remember and the 3rd one I have no idea because that's all I remember buying in Japan back in 2006. One of them says 2007/04/30 so it might be expired, but the other two have no dates on them. In any case, if anyone has a Japanese club Nintendo account and could use them, let me know.
 
Alright, I think Club Nintendo's being weird again. It's telling me I can register Super Mario 3D World, but I KNOW I did because I did it near Xmas when I got the game & I'm pretty sure I used the coins for the Luigi's Mansion figurine.
 
I'm thinking of getting Kurby CN GAF but I also want Super Metroid. Help me choose. If i get both I won't have the balance I'd prefer to have going into next cycle.

Well, have you played either before? Super Metroid's one of the greatest games of all time, and 3D Kirby is the best version of a pretty great game itself, though if you've played it before you're not getting anything new except solid framerate and (minimal) 3D
 
Quick question: If I get the Super Metroid reward from Club Nintendo, do I still get the post-play survey for 10 coins?

I have a bunch of coins without much use and I'm 10 coins from platinum.
 
To those wondering about 3d Kirby...it is the best way to play the game. The 3d effect is subtle, but nice. There are also no frame rate issues like all the other versions (KA really pushed the NES).

Thanks for the info! Does the Kirby Collection version have the same frame rate issues?
 
Do free games get you the full number of coins as if you registered it? (when I get MK8 I get WW HD for free, will I get the coin value for WW?) I know the EU and Japan have had more free deals than the US so I figured I'd ask.

Yes. Usually give DDP as well.

I have not played either before. I've seen some gameplay and it was compelling enough.

If it has to be one I'd say Metroid, but these are two of the best games they've given on club Nintendo. So getting both isn't a terrible idea unless you're worried about them adding cool physical rewards soon

heh, i got a code for tomodachi life from my deactivated club nintendo account. it seems they forgot about automatic emails or something.
at least i got a final present from that account.
 
I didn't get the demo... which will probably be pretty shocking when it comes to Wall of Shame time next month.

I wonder if the fact that I have no soul and pretty much blasted AC:NL in my survey has something to do with it.
 
If anyone gets a demo code but isn't interested in using it I'd be interested in taking it off your hands. No idea if I want to buy this game or not so I'd rather not purchase it without checking it out first.

Edit: Not that I would be purchasing it anytime soon, just would be nice to know if it's something I'd be interested in picking up at some point.
