Catherine was already on plus for EU (99% sure)

Add a 1%. It was, I played it, I loved it :)

So I confirmed it appeared in EU+

I'm gonna say yes. It's low budget. Do not expect 50 billion NPCs with extensive dialog. Do not expect shops you can walk into (all stores are simply floating crystals somewhere in the world lol).
It still has HD towns though! And the combat system works and remains decently challenging all the way through.

Protag is a dumbfuck of satirical proportions. I'm in the camp who believes it's deliberate. But be aware.
Also, Makoto.

Thanks :)

dat moment when there's an "All Range Sword" attack in Atelier Twilight subseries*.

On the other hand, a homunculus named Homura with skills named "Homu-Style: <insert katana skills here>". I like this guy. Actually, I like everything I'm seeing in Atelier Shallie.

*because the inner Gundam fan in me says that noone will get it: Yes, it's a reference/roots to Gundam's All-Range Attack (オールレンジ攻撃).

I picked up my Vita 2000 yesterday, And I've gotta say I don't really notice a downgrade with the screen. Borderlands 2 is fantastic for a Vita game, I don't see why it got stomped on in reviews. It has some framerate problems, but I'm still having a blast. The new Vita feels much better in my hands I wonder if I'm going to notice that bump in battery life.

Man, I've been trying to get a copy of Nier for like a week now. All local gamestops don't have any copies in stock, and can't order online. Ebay has all the used PS3 copies at something crazy like $30+. I wish all last gen games had a digital version too, I'd rather pay like $20 for a digital version than buy a terrible condition used disk only game for $20+.

Have you tried any smaller stores? Some independent stores may have copies in stock, though unfortunately they'll likely be used.

ffffffffffuck, I sold my copy for like $12 after only getting the first ending. Was always planning on picking it back up.

This combined with seeing mega man x8 for $50+ has convinced me to never sell a game again.

This closely echoes my thoughts as well. I even went to a friends house who has a vita 1000 and couldn't conclusively say that I like the oled better than the lcd, if it is worse it is so slight to me so as to not be a factor. But the 2000 is leagues more comfortable for me to hold. I never really noticed more battery life, but my old vita had fantastic battery already, new one has lasted me multiple days of playing without needing a charge. I also agree about BL2, but I've said that enough times already!

Though call me crazy, but I prefer the proprietary vita charger to the new micro USB in the slim. I guess for someone with an android phone or other device that uses micro USB it would be convenient, but my vita is my only micro USB device besides my sony gold headset and DS4 controller, so it didn't really make anything easier for me. In fact, with the old charger I always knew which way to put the charger in based on the PS logo, with the micro USB I find myself having to try a few times before I get it to plug in in the dark. Also, micro USB dock seems more fragile and liable to break. Minor point though, overall the 2000 is awesome.

I go to a med school in a shitty area of Brooklyn, I honestly haven't been able to find any smaller stores that sell games. I've lived in Brooklyn my whole life, and I've never seen any of the cool used stuff stores or flea market type things that people post about. Though if anyone does know such a place in Brooklyn/Manhattan I'm all ears!

Have you guys tried checking if your local Best Buy has Nier? That's where I got my copy like 2 years ago. Although I think I had it shipped to the store.

What type of paper is used for boxart? I want to print some out

Hey everybody! New to GAF but I've been lurking for a while and was finally validated! The PS Vita is easily my favorite and most used console. So... Yay!

What are all PS+ games on the PS4 so far? Have to redownload everything again. I don't understand why Sony doesn't have an option where all the PS+ games can be redownloaded with one button. What happens if it breaks 4-5 years into the system's life? :P

I've downloaded Outlast, Resofun, and going to download Mercenary Kings while I'm at it.

Here's a list that will bring you right to the PS4 section
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Instant_Game_Collection_games_(North_America)#PlayStation_4

Don't have my PS4 set up yet to check, is there no download list like with PS3/Vita? Can see all my PS+ games there to download (along with any other games I've bought on PSN). Not one button for sure, but they're all there. Do wish it would differentiate between ones I have installed currently and ones I don't though, especially with DLC.

Phantom Breaker is a fine game.

EDIT: Good lord this review has a lot of commas.

Also I think I bought a Vita. Some third-party seller off Amazon had a like-new available for $150. The only caveats are that it doesn't come with the BL2 code, and I probably got screwed.
OH WELL!

EDIT: Just got a notice saying the Vita was shipped. Hopefully everything is in order.

hmm any thoughts on
Eternal Sonata
Nier

Both are good with their respective strengths.

Story for NieR and a bit of story and gameplay for Eternal Sonata.

Just don't expect them to be AAA material.

Honestly, I had more fun with NieR than most games I had played.

I'm sure I'm alone in this, but I've been digging into the back catalog of PS+ games I have. I've had it for a while but would go a long time without gaming. I've been picking up trophies in games such as Bomberman Ultra and Inferno Pool. Honestly, it has been fun trying out some of those games that I wouldn't normally give a chance.

wonder what the point of preloading being supported with the latest firmware update was if they never seem to utilize it for any games that have preorders and released since

I remember picking up NieR in a Boxing Day sale because I heard the story was good. Ended up being one of my favourite experiences on the PS3. Actually, I think I got Dark Void and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood in that sale as well. Ended up loving those too.

I thought Watch_Dogs was going to be the first title to support it? Maybe I misread, but I've seen people post that (not on GAF so much) pretty often. I could just be misinformed, of course.

I'm way too excited about Duke Nukem on my Vita.

Although it's going to be sad times when there are no Dukebots for hilarious multiplayer fun times. Had so much fun on the N64 with that

I'm not sure when's the last time I added people here to my friend list. I'll just go the route and have those who want to add me do it themselves. PSN is the same as my name here.

Notes:
I reject the request of those I don't like. One example is besada.
I'm recalcitrant. I don't add mods/admins. One example is besada.

I'm not sure if I feel comfortable knowing you've been watching me in my most private moments.

You added me!

I don't remember adding you.

I don't know why I'm asking here, but can anyone help me price some video game stuff?

I'm having a hard time separating sentimental value with actual value

Good job! Have fun... Keep us updated - goodluck

Whoa whoa whoa. Are you sure you really want to part with these games? I'm not sure what the myriad of reasons are, but you might end up regretting parting with all these games. You're like, the super Final Fantasy fan.

It may sound very negative, but rest assured the "myriad of reasons" is for the positive. :) Some personal, but for the most part it will benefit others.

And I can still be a "super Final Fantasy fan" w/o owning the physical stuff

That being said I'm also considering selling some artbooks (Senran Kagura, Drag on Dragoon 3, Bravely Default, Xenoblade, etc)

Eesh, I'm sure you have solid reasons, but be careful with what you're willing to part with. Take it from someone who sold off most of their FF collection in 2007 but has recently painstakingly repurchased many of the games you listed for 2-3x what I sold them for because I regretted parting with them. Though feel free to get rid of the 360 version of XIII and XIII-2, eugh. Plus, the PS3 boxes for those games look so much better on a shelf collection!

Edit: I guess if you say it will benefit others then sell away! I have a page on my vita with every FF game from I through X-2 and while some may not be the best versions, they could be good enough!

Yeah I know what I'm getting into. Also, for a majority of those titles I can play them on my Vita (up to X-2/Type-0/Dissidia012) so there really isn't that much of a loss if I part with the physicals. I guess that's the upside with digital which I'm slowly starting to embrace.
I've been meaning to get rid of my 360 FFs for a long time though. I (shamefully) admittedly bought them for certain fanboyish reasons haha.

I love the series to death, and if possible I can live off my just playing FF for the rest of my life, but I'm only overly attached to certain titles. And those titles are the ones I will be keeping.

My 3DS has actually collected dust from lack of use. I've been playing Demon Gaze, Conception II, Tearaway, Project Diva f, FFX/X-2...

Vita means life indeed.

30 to 150?

materia money making it rain

thank you btw

Anytime. One recently sold for $35, while in February one sold for $265 with the masterpiece misprint. People right now are trying to sell their misprinted copies for far too much. I was being realistic with the cap at $150 since I can't see it going beyond $200 again. Others are selling for over $300.

Only my consoles gather dust, and that's because they're always stationary. None of my handhelds have ever been dust collectors.

Does anyone know what the recommended upload speed is to be able to stream in 720p?
Found this:

 • 3 Mb/s - 4.5 Mbs for HD — High definition 720p resolution video
 • 5 Mb/s - 9 Mb/s for HDX — Full high definition 1080p resolution video and high definition audio
... and also this, which might help. :)

I've streamed from the PS4 in the highest quality without any obvious problems, but my connection is pretty good (as much as about 18Mbps up I think, not at home to check). I did notice an in game stutter when someone joined the stream though.
