Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 7: How Can My Smash Brother Be This Cut

The AT model was shown in the direct, so this is another filler pic. But nice to confirm that it behaves like Brawl's AT and doesn't give any tells for what's inside.

Maybe the ellipses means something more :P

Pic of the day. This is the capsule for the Assist Trophies. It may emit rainbow-colored lights, or even blink. Even if there's something like a Color TV-Game 15 inside….

sakuraaaiiiiiiii

I agree with Pop-O-Matic, actually. The whole "omg so boring filler zzzz" shit is really annoying.

Not every day can be a fucking character or stage reveal, and while the Smash Direct and the screenshots that came with it are fairly old by now, it was a massive image dump. I think getting 1 or 2 new smaller things every week so far is pretty solid.

Edit: On another note, out of the 5 Brawl newcomers revealed at E3 2006, we only have 2 confirmed for Smash 4 (Pit and Zero Suit). While I don't think we'll get Snake, there is Meta Knight and Wario left. Felt like that was a notable tidbit.

I'm still good from the smash direct

e3/playable smash 4 demo/smash 4 invitational tournament will last me until smash 3ds launch.

for all I care he can stop doing potd at this point

See, if you were smart and lived in a timezone where you woke up to PoTD you'd have a much better life.

Research shows those who stay up for it have a lower life expectancy of up to 10 year than those who wake up to /are already awake for it.

I like following the POTD. I just am very cynical realistic about everything. Also, people writing off POTD while hyping up E3 sets me off.
Considering we just got something new last Friday...I think you're cynical, not realistic.

Also, why wouldn't people hype E3? We'll get a new trailer in the Digital Event, Nintendo Treehouse coverage, an 1.5 hours Q&A session and A GODDAMN SMASH4 TOURNAMENT!

But a bad pic means a bad day...

Feel like that. I kinda stop caring about pic of the day around the time of that direct. It was overwhelming and e3 is coming anyway.

I ended up listening to every single GameXplain Smash video in the past three days. Why aren't these released in podcast format?

André's pronunciation of Melee pains me. Is he French or something?

You got a point, but almost everyone was calling for Female Villager alt, so it wasn't that big a deal.

And most of that is just going to give us all the same info that we got from the Smash Direct, yet people are acting like it's gonna be Smash Direct 2: Smash Harder where EVERY newcomer will be revealed, when we're gonna be lucky if we get one. I just feel like people are going insanely overboard with the E3 hype, and I'm just trying to bring them down to Earth a little. I mean, I keep on bringing this on up, but I can't be the only person to remember how little new info we got at E3 2007, can I?

Hmmm I didn't know that.
I say Mee-lee.
Just had google say may-lay

It's got these little accents over it. It's a french term... well, it was originally, anyway.

You could make a decent case that both pronounciations are correct now, but mei-lei sounds radder

Yes, but note the person who suggested it hadn't even seen the show.

Even so I still judge all those who voted for it as supporters of the theme presented towards the end of the show.

What if we feel that the show deplorable but still find the the thread title clever and funny?

For me, the POTD arrives right when I'm knocking off from work for the day, so it represents the start of unwinding for the evening. Very cathartic!

I can kind of understand why someone would want to stay up for it, but really, depriving yourself of sleep just for the purpose of injecting new information into your brain and stimulating it further does have questionable merits.

Yeah but that was when we had Dojo which could announce a newcomer at any given moment. Yeah, it started up a few weeks before E3 2007 which could be the reason why it was disappointing, saving up info for the damn site. Maybe. But every newcomer for Wii U/3DS has been announced in a direct while POTD, while I enjoy for what it is, only showing of the finer details, cosmetics, stages, and veterans. Most of the time stuff already announced.

I don't expect every newcomer to be revealed, but it isn't wrong to think we're likely to get substantial, or at least below equal stuff compared to the direct, at the biggest video game expo. Is it?

Wait Pop-O-Matic was serious? I thought he was exaggerating the "itsfuckingnothing" posts because he was tired of seeing them.
I retract my statement of agreeing with him, then. >_>
