Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 7: How Can My Smash Brother Be This Cut

"Champion"? What is this, League of Smash Brothers?

I've decided to headcanon that the playable WFT just happens to be the Single Greatest Yoga Instructor In The World, who cracks skulls on her lunch break and solves world hunger as an afterthought.

I just want Villager to be the only one filling the "ascended normal" niche, you see...

Pic of the day. This is the capsule for the Assist Trophies. It may emit rainbow-colored lights, or even blink. Even if there's something like a Color TV-Game 15 inside….

Well I'd be annoyed, but we are getting a demo, a 90 minute discussion, and a tournament in 3 weeks. We have to survive guys!

No excuse. If you know the ending then you should know that you'd not want anything to do with the show.
Are you telling me you don't like
(w)incest
? What's wrong with you bro?

Seriously though, the title is funny and original I don't see how the thing it's referencing should come into play really.

By means of quality or content?

Content wise, I dunno people reference game of thrones .

Quality wise, oh no it was bad, how you back off the entire premise of the show last minute. I didn't even like it that much, but at least commit to the bit. It couldn't even do that, it was inconsistent and kinda bad all the way to the end.

Just remind me to never pick Luigi when you lot pick Mario. I don't want to get involved in your sick fantasies!

Seriously, he's probably holding off because we'll get another Direct-like blowout at E3.

EDIT: Wow, that was a really weird phrasing on my part...

I like the nice touch Assist Trophies have this time, it's hard to explain but I think it's a better fit than the blankness that was in Brawl.

I know they kind of jumped the shark trying to tie everything into a coherent mythos (LOL) with Subspace, but all the stuff in SS4 is making me drool with how they could tie it all together. Or... at least with how it's visually tied together, anyway.

I declare that June 10 will be known as Smash Bros Day for smash fans.

12PM - Digital Event
???? - Project Treehouse
7PM - Smash Tournament
10 to 11:30PM - Smash Conference

(Warning: all times are done in EDT)

Edited: corrected my mistake.

12PM - Digital Event - 2 to 5 minutes worth of trailer, longer if NFP is in smash and needs explaining
???? - Project Treehouse - 15-30 minutes of footage, showing off newly revealed content.
7PM - Smash Tournament 1-2 hours of tournament, just enough to give a break between tournament and conference
10 to 11:30PM - Smash Conference - 60 minutes of presentation (about 35 minutes worth of new info), 30 minutes of QA, with only 1-2 good questions being asked.

That's about 3+ full hours of smash content, i'm ok w/ that :)

Anyone want to make predictions for what is revealed during the digital event and the conference? Should we make smash bingo cards? We can even include specific assist trophy/stages/item reveals to make them harder.

Think we'll know the whole roster after E3?

There's a 50/50 chance we get all newcomers by launch, but that really depends on a couple of things:

1. There are only 2-3 newcomers left.
2. Sakurai doesn't mind showing off 'unlockable' newcomers
3. OR there are no unlockable newcomers.

I could see characters like chorus men not getting their own 'newcomer' trailer, and strictly be the 'game and watch'/'R.O.B.' of the game, and just be a last minute secret. I can also see sakurai wanting all newcomers to have a trailer to gain hype for the game.

Unless some newcomers are going to be locked behind a patch (Spotpass!) to coincide with Wii U release, I don't think we have many left to be shown off.

Think we'll get information directly after the Q&A since it's not live streamed? It's starting at 4 in the morning where I live...

At E3 2012, Totilo was able to interview Reggie, which is how we got Fire Emblem Awakening USA release confirmed. Who knows?

More like Smash Night Festival for Europe, I guess.

Don't forget a lot of impressions from Best Buy and E3 Demos :)

I mean how terrible do you think the questions will be.

As far as general questions, no. Specific detailed questions that people on smashgaf, etc, would want answers to, won't be answered.

It'll be generic questions like "Why did you include wii fit trainer", or "What was it like getting capcom to let you use megaman?" or something related to namco bandai. Good questions, but stuff we probably already knew the answer to. Let's see what the press actually asks.

I mean, I don't think anyone's gonna stand up and say "Where's wavedashing you hack?" At most we'll get another question about game speed which he answered last time.

"Is the Gamatsu leak true?" "Were you just trolling when you have an in depth look at the Ridley boss? He's playable right?"

I think a good question that will probably be asked is something about DLC plans.
