Cool that it'll support local co-op. I'll buy for sure if it's good. Plenty of great memories with Gauntlet.

Was it ever confirmed whether or not this features Gauntlet Voice(tm)? Because that trailer on announce left me a little underwhelmed. I love Magicka, but I'm unsure about this.

Online co-op you say?

"Someone shot the food."
"Someone shot the food."
"Valkyrie needs food, badly!"
"Someone shot the food."

"God damn it quit being a fucking FSer!"

With as much content as that version had, they should just port that version. The xbox/ps2/gc version was like the TTT2 of gauntlet games..

Saw this announced and proceeded to check for the easiest way to play gauntlet legends/dark legacy instead. Footage looks pretty generic, I'm a little underwelmed.

Are Steam Machines even really a thing yet? Does that mean the game runs on SteamOS?

Looking forward to this, local co-op PC games are always up my street.

The preorder page only says Windows, but I guess they're making a Linux version too. It doesn't look very demanding, so even the lower end Steam Machines should handle it.

Yes, it was in their initial announcement: www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=786006

arner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced Gauntlet, a completely modernized action RPG version of the celebrated dungeon crawler, will be available this summer via Steam for PC, offering full support for SteamOS and the upcoming Steam Machines shipping the second half of this year. The game will lead the launch of WB Games Vault, a direct-to-digital portfolio that will deliver paid games based on popular Warner Bros. and Midway brands, plus original IP, across multiple digital networks.

Seems like games such as this have evolved into what we see with Diablo 3. But 4 player couch co-op is something the PC version of Diablo doesn't offer so there's that.

I loved Gauntlet back in the 80s. I think I rather keep it as a fond memory rather than risk tainting that memory with a modern adaption. Unless it gets some rave reviews and love from GAF, but somehow I doubt it.

Huge Gauntlet fan and I have no interest in this. Looks really boring and generic and on top of that, it just looks like a set of dungeons all with the same art style. No varied environments at all. May grab at half price or less but that's about it.

Just a heads-up that I'm looking for a final person to split a four-pack with. The cost per head comes to USD$7.92. Quote this post if you're interested.

Edit: That was easy!

It's a 4 player online co-op dungeon hack that i can play with my friends on PC while using a controller. That alone makes it a more appealing purchase for me than Torchlight or Diablo. I want to play these kinds of games while relaxing with a controller in my hand. They are lazy games to shoot the breeze with friends and that's how I want t play them if/when I do.

How did you get a $60 four pack down to $7.92 per head?
