Just rewatched Xmen, X2, and First Class this week.
Pretty excited. It's freaking awesome that they're using the same actors from all those years ago (except Mystique but meh it's a different era Mystique so it doesn't bother me as much)

Finished Origins.
The CG claws look so so so bad on one of the newer TVs. Those tend to make CG stand out a lot more, and when the CG already stands out (like the claws) it looks weird.
Is there a cut of this movie that's just Lynn Collins (<3 <3) scenes?
The fight scenes are really odd. Like there's this speed up thing that the camera does during sequences that makes the hits and landings look weak. It's particularly noticeable during Logan/Sabretooth and Blob fights. Logan gets hit, SUPERDUPERFASTSPINOMG, hits the floor.
Fucking Liev Schreiber was wasted in this movie.

I've started seeing movies by myself more often lately and I would say I probably enjoy it more that way. I also go during the week at the earliest possible showtime when nobody is there. It's pretty great.

I stopped giving a fuck about going alone in college when I had afternoons off that nobody else did and would rather see the movies than complain about not seeing them because I had nobody to go with.

Of all things to be socially hesitant of doing going to the movies by yourself isn't that big of a deal. If I saw someone else by their self at a theater I couldn't care longer than a few seconds and I then forget for eternity bc I'll never see that person ever again most likely.

I went by myself 6 hours ago (Thursday Morning Australian time) stuff all people in the cinema, best way to watch it imo.
I watched the first 3 movies (yeah i'm one of the few that can tolerate the third and actually don't think it's as bad as others say... i admit it's not perfect but it's not a total disaster!) and opted to not watch First Class.
I have mixed feelings about DOFP (movie itself was fantastic!) and where the franchise is going from here - but i guess i'll still go along for the ride.

My wife doesn't want to see it, and my friends really aren't interested. Going by myself. No shame.
Yup, could do without both of them definitely.
Meh, there are so many positive reviews coming through, that one is in the minority.
I remember leaving the theater after X2 and needing to talk about it in my class the next morning. One of my favorite childhood movie experiences. Hopefully this can be nearly as great and inspire hope in the franchise.
