Guys, do you know why I'm getting these notifications every time I log into PSN? Is it some PS+ setting I need to change?

And my PS+ sub is still active (runs out in a month, will be renewing of course) and I can manually upload when I go over those failed uploads there.

That started with me on the new patch. You can either just click them and manually re-upload them, or you can disable auto-upload.

Hoping Sony fixes this shit soon. Same with the CE-34878-0 crash that still hasn't been addressed.

So Minecraft vita in august. Cross buy, cross play, cross save, cross DLC with the PS3 version.

https://mojang.com/2014/05/minecraft-on-xbox-one-ps4-and-ps-vita-soon/

"Minecraft: Playstation 3 + Vita Edition will be available on the PSN in August.
It will include all the features from the most recent Playstation 3 version, including online play, on Vita.
If you’ve bought Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition from PSN you’ll be able to upgrade for free.
We are working closely with Sony Computer Entertainment to look into ways to enable upgrade from the Blu-ray disc version of Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition to Minecraft: Playstation 3 and Vita. We’ll have more info on this closer to release.
This means everyone who has bought Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition from PSN will get it on Vita for free. Those fluent in Sony-speak might refer to the deal as “Cross-buy.”
Minecraft: Playstation 3 + Vita Edition will cost $19.99.
It doesn’t matter if you buy for PS3 or Vita first, you own the game for both platforms.
Saves are transferrable between the Playstation 3 and Vita versions of Minecraft. You will be able to craft at home on your Playstation 3, then continue on the bus/toilet with your Playstation Vita.
All of the DLC you’ve purchased for Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition will work on Playstation 3 + Vita Edition."
Lowers the entry barrier at least. I bought the PS3 version (and all of the DLC) for my daughters, so MAYBE I'll actually try and play the game.

Probably not though.

I like what Mojang is doing - will be interesting to see how Sony and Mojang will retroactively add some sort of "voucher" for physical copies of Minecraft: PS3 Edition to get Minecraft: PS3 + Vita Edition

I wonder how theyre going to translate R&C3s controls to Vita. Its going to be messy
Extra buttons were mostly useless in R&C
L3 = call HUD
R3 = same as SELECT (map)
L2/R2 = lock strafe

There you have it: place lockstrafing on L instead of the first person view, and make a virtual button on the touch screen for the first person view.
Also, tapping on the touch screen or on the touchpad will call the HUD.

I don't know how they're going to manage the upgrade for the physical edition though. Maybe mailing in the full retail version? Seems clumsy, and I suspect they'll struggle to pull that off.

Well they knew it was coming from the get go. Maybe the discs already have codes in them which can be patched to show.

Did P3P extend the amount of time you can be in a dungeon before tiring out?

In P3FES you actually go from Great to Normal to Tired while exploring the dungeon. In P3P you won't see that change until you leave the dungeon.

I prefered P4 approach. Using the Fox for recovering TP was really expensive and TP items aren't that common until quite late in the game.

I don't know... haha
it's strange how you are selling your collection and I'm here collecting them ><
something is wrong with me.

maybe I need to take a break from GAF

Im in the same boat as you. Collecting ps3 games ive overlooked, just to try out. My main ones

- 3d dot heroes
- Eternal sonata ( really enjoyed demo)
- resonance of fate
- aquanauts holiday
- Condemned 2
- rage ( enjoyed demo, but racing sucked)

You never get tired in dungeons now basically.

Ah alright. I don't mind this P3P approach though.

Me neither. Just be smart and abuse going to the infirmary. That gives you a really nice Courage boost.

Obviously, if you want to go to Tartarus or you need to study for an exam, you could rest some evening / sleep in class.

Man, I don't know why I always do this to myself. Ever since I got a vita over a year ago, I've been annoyed about how if I didn't want to listen to vita sound I either had to lower the volume to 0 or plug in headphones. Lo and behold, today I discovered that all you have to do is hold both + and - volume buttons for like a second and it mutes the sound. Another minor annoyance that ended up just being my own ignorance.
.
Good tip. This is an annoyance for me as well.

I'm thinking that there's something wrong with my Vita/memory card. I've played through a bunch of games on it and most of them seem to have jarring slowdown/frame rate issues. I only play games on consoles so it's not like I'm used to locked 60fps on an expensive PC and I can't think of many console games that I have an issue with frame rate wise yet I do with Vita games.

Right now I'm playing Uncharted and everything's fine while I'm exploring, jumping around but as soon as enemies come out it starts to stutter and it hinders playability, unlike what can be seen here. I see the number of frames is dropping in the clip but it feels like what I'm playing is worse, jumping from 10 to 30fps. It was the same with Killzone which I finished and it played nothing like this when enemies popped out. There was noticeable slowdown in Rayman Origins as well. The HD campaign in Wipeout 2048 also ran atrocious. Had zero problems with Guacamelee! and Hotline Miami however.

So what gives, has anyone had a similar experience? Like I said I'm really not super into technical stuff in games but those videos above seem to look much better then what I'm playing. All the games are from PS+ and I don't have any physical copies I could try. Could a factory reset help, any thoughts?

Never had that, weird...
Try to lend a physical game of Uncharted, WipeOut or Rayman so you can be sure it's the memory card or the internal reader...

What seemed to fix it for me is going into settings and deleting all the saved files in your online storage. They'll still be on your local storage so you won't lose anything and then when they upload again after you play the games you shouldn't get the message anymore.

Back up your data to a PC/PS3 via Content Manager and use the settings to restore/format your Vita and Memory Card. That might help.

Holy shit that's a surprise. Guess I'm buying the PS3 version of Minecraft ASAP then

Is there a video that shows what's so great about Minecraft? I understand you build stuff and there is a little survivor horror I guess with some monsters? But what makes it so huge? Honest question because I could see this being a good buy on the Vita and I would be willing to buy it. I'm just not sure.

I wouldn't mind such a video either. Everyone who has tried to sell me on Minecraft always goes "It's a video game version of Legos!" but I never really cared for Legos as a kid or now, and I never really cared for Minecraft when I tried it. But everyone loves it so much it makes me feel like I'm missing something about it. Maybe I'm just not creative enough.

I'm pretty sure there's a free demo for the PC version. Try it out.

Ha. These are also in my "games I overlooked but will eventually play one day, I swear" pile.

Loved LEGOs as a kid but couldn't get into Minecraft. Was bored to tears. Still nice that I get the vita version for free, I guess. More likely to give it proper attention on a handheld.

To me Minecraft is a largely unparalleled role playing game. I have no interest in the creative mode, but Survival is wonderful.

It's a playground. Anything can happen. Anything can be built. Anything can be destroyed.

Yeah same here. Building is fun and all but the main reason why I play is because I love going adventuring down through caves, setting my own objective, finding my first diamonds, and just in general doing whatever the hell I feel like doing.

Yea I did, my sister owns the full PC game and I gave it a few hours. Honestly, I was just bored. Made me feel like I was playing the wrong mode or doing something wrong if everyone liked it so much. I just did the free building mode though, maybe I need to try survival.

I'm going home this weekend, so I'll probably give creative and survival another hour each I guess. Might just be the type of person I am, don't care much for sandboxes. In something like Skyrim I did the main quest and that was it.

I don't think Minecraft is the game for you. It's okay if you don't enjoy it. We're all different people with different tastes

Don't bother. I've even tried multiplayer with some friends, but the game is just too boring for me. It'll probably be the same with you.

Also, there isn't any other open world title where you can just dig straight down and find a labrinthean tunnel system full of monsters and treasures to be uncovered. That's why I give the Pocket Edition such a "nope", no caves!
