Welp, got the top of the page. Buy Transistors people! The art, atmosphere, and soundtrack is grand. Gameplay is very good too.

Hi guys! I am going to say goodbye for now since I'm going back to school. GAF took way too much of my free time. So to finally finish the last ten units of college, I'll have to remove all vices I have. I have to transfer schools since my old institute is kinda hectic and my job pays for my tuition so I can't just leave them. I'm in the institute by tuesday just to get my papers.
Working and studying at the same time would be tough but I'll manage somehow. I might post every now and then, but I can't assure that.

Always hate to see that someone I like is slowing down or leaving, but love seeing that it's to strive for success. Good luck, and kick butt!

htoL#NiQ screens and detail up on Famitsu. Don't think it was posted anywhere in thread.

The Japanese release is later in June.

That has to do with the Vita exclusive dungeon correct? I read about that online....it sound really, really irritating to play through;
losing all your items, having SP cut in half, losing all your weapons....sounds more aggravating then fun :(.

Edit: Opps; forgot that extra dungeon is optional...so looks like I won't have to play it at all :D!
It's not too bad. I don't think that dungeon is randomly generated, so if you use a map from the web it is pretty straightforward to navigate.

Back up your data to a PC/PS3 via Content Manager and use the settings to restore/format your Vita and Memory Card. That might help.

I did this but the restore failed right at the end, trying again now. No big deal if it doesn't work, I backed up the saves thanks to PS+ and I'll just download the two games I had on the memory card again. Hopefully this will solve the problems I had, I'll report back once I try it out.

The restoration worked the second time. I deleted Uncharted this morning after finishing it but Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed seems to have the same choppy slow down in places as it did before. Damn it.

That doesn't sound to bad; they wouldn't add anything to the game if it made it worse :). Besides, I reason its so different from the other dungeons is from another team working on it (I read somewhere that the people behind SMT; Strange Journey worked on the Hollow Forest dungeon), so it must add stuff to the original dungeon layouts; P4's dungeons aren't really anything but long hallways anyway (outside of
Adatchi's
one...)

Thanks for the help :D.

You restored/reset your Vita's settings right? I don't know what to say after that. : /

A friend and I were just discussing the possibility of Sony giving a generous amount of time to Murasaki Baby at E3... *shudders*

take back those words!!

i swear if they spend any more time then just a quick mention of it i'll be pissed.

in reality it IS a vita title, so odds are it'll only be seen in passing during a showcase and title briefly mentioned

The way I see it - there's gonna be one Vita game that they'll spend a decent amount of time on. Hopefully it'll be something unannounced that's hella dope....But it might be Murasaki Baby haha

My bets for the Vita at this years E3 will, sadly, be very breif (like always, damn it Sony :(). But they will get some things across. Firstly, we will get a little montage of the Vita games announced so far that are coming (Sony's Studio Japan tittles + Japanise 3rd party stuff), then we will get an announcement of some more HD collections and ports (the heavily rumored Ratchet one, Ratchet Nexus, maybe Ico Collection?).

For new stuff, I guess they will 'announce' (I say that considering they showed it off last year) Gravity Rush 2 and maybe sequels to Killzone and Tearaway (heavily reusing those games assets....I'm sure they didn't set the world on fire AND they could improve on stuff the originals lacks :l).

For third parties, I suppose we will have.....maybe another Persona game land on Vita? P4G did help the Vita a good deal when the game launched in JP (and Atlus did say they were happy with the NA and EU sales) that might be a semi-sequel to P4 (an original game or maybe porting over Arena? Fighters do seem to translate well to Vita :)) or a flat out remake of P3 (using the best elements of the FES and Portable versions of the game + all the improvements they made with P4G). These seem more like TGS announcements (and they already have Arena 2, Q and Dance coming :l), but that could help :). Square Enix and Bamco might also show something (FF12 remaster and another Tales game in addition to Hearts?) or announce some localizations (god, KH's 1.5 AND 2.5 landing on Vita?! That would make my day :D).

Western 3rd parties....I can't really expect much out of them; maybe Rockstar, Square-Enix Edios, 2K and some others announcing ports of iOS or PS3 games (the PS2 GTA's, Deus Ex the Fall, X-Com, Bioshock 1, EA's iOS sports games, umm....Gamelofts tittles?). I don't know....they really didn't do much for Vita as is :l.

Now for the memory cards and bundles! I can see Sony announcing some new Vita bundles (Ratchet and Clank Silver Vita 2000, Creeper Green Minecraft Vita 2000, Final Fantasy Cristal Blue Vita 2000, Persona Yellow Vita 2000) plus having steep Vita price drops. MC's getting a 30% discount and the 64 GB one coming over here (for 60 bucks).

That does sound like a bit to much...but they could fit all of that within 10-20 minutes at least...then again, the Vita ONLY got not even 5 minutes last year :l.

Vita will only be mention regarding PlayStation Now alongside lines "... where you will be able to play Playstation games on PS Vita or your Smartphone / tablet."

Don't expect anything Vita related on E3; Sony knows where stabs hurts the most.

I'm gonna guess there's just going to be a five minute part of the press conference- right after they talk about the PS3 and its future, they'll talk about the Vita. They'll show a logo for Murasaki Baby and namecheck it, maybe some brief footage running in the background, probably a couple other games- Minecraft if it's not out by then, and then at best close on a new first party announcement or a Gravity Rush 2 trailer.

I'd love to be wrong and see a concentrated effort on the Vita as a gaming machine, especially with Tretton's replacement being a guy with history in the PSP iirc, but Sony is probably just going to look at the Vita as another accessory for the PS4. They're not really in a financial position to take the risks on the Vita.

It's not too bad. I don't think that dungeon is randomly generated, so if you use a map from the web it is pretty straightforward to navigate.

I didn't find that dungeon especially annoying. At first you'll hate it. Once you equip the armor that nullifies / absorb the element your party members are week too it's quite easy.

That does sound like to much doesn't it :(.

.......Please Sony? Just, do SOMETHING for the Vita this year :l

You're going to be disapointed if those are your expectations. Mine (and I may be disapointed are lol) are:

- 15 seconds Vita PR talk during the "look how amazingly the PS4 is still doing" introduction.
- This quote: "PS Now is launching in September 2014 on America for PS3 and PS4. It'll launch on PSVita this Winter."
- Those are the games announced for Vita during 2014 (with a image with them all). And this is our amazing, jawdropping, stunning support!
Ratchet and Clank Collection, Journey or Unfinished Swan is ported to PS4/Vita.

Total time? 3-4 minutes.

I'm afraid I may be disapointed even with such a low expectations xD

Um...

I hope you like short sizzle reels.

Yepe :l.

I have my expectations in check, but it would be nice if at leas a few of those things happen.

The saddest part is that those aren't unrealistic expectations; ports from iOS games SHOULD be on Vita, we got lots of JP support so more of that is reasonable, we got many HD remasters on Vita so a last batch from Sony is possible, MC prices drops NEED to happen, and new Vita bundles are currently coming (if they don't at least have a Minecraft one....).

I've been a lurker on this form for a while before getting approved as a member, so I saw how disappointed many of you guys were when Sony did...whatever they did for the Vita last year at E3 :(. If they did some of what I said...maybe the Vita might be a better spot latter this year :l.

ports from iOS games SHOULD be on Vita.

It still stupefies me that X-COM Enemy Unknown didn't get a Vita port after iOS. It probably wouldn't set the world on fire, but surely it'd be easy to do and have a good chance of making back the costs to port based on how rabidly the small Vita consumer base buys games.

I'd at least try out Deus Ex: The Fall if it were released on Vita instead of just mobile or Steam.

Seeing the horrid sales it has in Japan, I don't think we'll be seeing it.

Considering the horrid sales the Vita has in the West, we may see it. Because hey, horrid + horrid = terrible, which probably is an improvement.

I think they'd have to brand it as a PS Now or PS Legacy machine. A console that plays natively PS1 and PSP games, with some native (aka Vita support). It streams PS2/PS3 games.

I'll know if its release is a joke or not when I see what kind of memory card it uses. If it's Vita's propietary stuff? It's dead on arrival. If it's SD cards? We may see it getting some atention.

And that's what I'm thinking. That and it could be released here because consoles are doing WAY better in the west than handhelds. PSX, PSP, PS Vita, and PS3 games (through PSNow) for $100-150 could be a significant selling point, right?

I really want one as my set-top box. Sony please!

So is anyone looking forward to Mind Zero?

Some GAF members have said it's disappointing so I'm gonna wait on it. Surprised I'm not seeing an OT for it already here at least since it drops on Tuesday.

I'm not picking up mind zero yet... have a lot of vita stuff to buy throughout the summer. I'll get it in the fall/winter probably, when we won't get anything. I doubt we'll get a triple whammy like Killzone, Tearaway and Ys again, and I doubt any surprise $30-40 game announcements at E3 would be ready 6 months from then (barring an an unlikely repeat of the CoD rush job), if they even happen (they won't). So I should have some breathing room to catch up on stuff I had to pass on then.

Fingers crossed for Ratchet & Clank Trilogy by the end of the year, though.

Anybody think there's a chance we see the Vita TV at E3?

Hard to say. Its dismal sales in Japan would suggest no, but on the other hand, western gamers are a LOT more into PS4 than Japanese ones. Additionally, there are quite a few gamers over here that would love to play PSP and Vita games but just don't care for portables.

I couldn't agree more on this. And they should use this approach with the Vita to some extent as well. Advertise it as a portable console that not only has its own great, exclusive games, but that also lets you play PSP and PSone games, as well as great PS2 and PS3 games (ports). It's like having your entire childhood in one portable.

Okay, I guess your right :). I just want the Vita to rock this E3 (it sorta did last year; the Vita demo stations was FLOODED with playable games and took up a good bit of Sony's booth :D).

Hey man, i think everyone here wants Vita to have a good e3. But yeah..doesn't seem too likely. I like to think they announced the 3 japanese localizations early so they can reveal some new localizations during e3, but thats wishful thinking.

Isn't Freedom Wars going to be on booth? Thats something at the very least.

Is All stars battle royale worth $15 bucks?

I think so- it's a pretty fun party fighter if you don't suffer from 'not muh smash'. You'll definitely want some friends who are down to play it though. I paid full price day one and don't regret it for a second.

It smells of either monthly or yearly IGC Playstation Plus fodder to me, personally.

I feel this as well- shame it'll be too late to justify more content for the game.

I would kill for a HD remake of all 4 Onimusha games on PSN/Vita right now..Wouldn't mind a Tenchu collection with the PS1 and PS2 games as well on Vita..Or the GTA trilogy on the Vita...

Why do I do this to myself?

Or even just PS2 classics.

I still own the first three and my PS2 works though.

Is All stars battle royale worth $15 bucks?

No, it's a awful fighting game.

DoA 5+ > Mahvel > Blazblue > SFxT > Guilty Gear > Injustice > > > > > > > > > > > > > >> > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > PSASBR

Haven't played MK on the Vita so I can't rank that

So I'm getting a little concerned here about my PS4. Every once in a while I'll shut it down and the system just has the white light flashing, it won't turn off. So I need to do a hard reset holding the power button down. The system than restarts in safe mode. This has happened a few times now, so I'm just wondering if I should send this in or is this an issue that wil eventually go away?

MK Vita plays fine but the graphical difference between cut scenes and gameplay is both jarring and at times hilarious.

Just bought Dynasty Warriors 8 complete. Will be pursuing Lu Bu after this download finishes
by tomorrow afternoon sometime

what are the chances of Sony making RemotePlay on Vita work with the DS4?

RemotePlay is perfect guys, perfect! I just want to be able to play my PS3 games on Vita now so I can clear that backlog.
