The last episode. I had a couple of tears

HOLY SHIT I JUST FINISHED THIS

HOLY SHIT IT WAS SO GOOD, I LITERALLY COULDN'T STOP WATCHING START TO END

My only gripes are that the sound effect for the hadouken sounded a bit to "stock" for my tastes but it did the trick, and also I think the flash back bits occasionally repeated themselves a bit much and kinda felt like they dragged for a bit, but honestly watching Gouki become Akuma so so fuckin cool that I didn't mind that much.

I watched the first episode : " Oh, this is campy and cool, whatever."

Finished watching the last episode : *in tears* "best video game adaption to film since the original Mortal Kombat."

Is there going to be a season 2?

In anycase, more people should watch this, it's really entertaining and does an admirable job focusing the story on two of the most popular character dude bros that exists, Ken and Ryu.

The backstory on Goki, Gouken, Gotetsu was also great.

So, if there was a World Warrior series, or even Alpha, who would you guys want casted?

The wiki says Ansah is considering Scott Adkins for Guile:

Leah Dizon as Sakura pls.

BTW don't google "Sagat Actor" unless you want to see male nudes.

Sagat played by The Rock

Surprisingly enjoyed it. Makes me want to play Street Fighter now. Great job by the entire team and I really enjoyed Ken's character in the series despite not caring for his character too much in the games. I need more of this now.

I hope Sakura and some of my other favorite characters show up in the later seasons. They might end up only doing the original world warriors first though.

They got
Ono
to be in this
KuGsj.gif

I need the gif of
Ono
falling from his seat immediately.

Unmarked spoiler cameo.

#dead

I

Also,
Ono
being true to himself was awesome.

Lol at unmarked spoiler cameo.

Two of these things are not like the others.
Please don't spoil surprises like this for people who like me who have not seen this yet.

A little disappointed that they didn't end with a gouki vs goken fight. Love the fact that they picked on so much from all the fighting games: both ken and ryu's pre fight "ritual", Ken's "Ikuzo!!", even down to Ryu training under the waterfall like in his sf2 ending. Very well done although I wished it paid more attention to ryu and ken and not that lengthy flashback. World warriors tournament here we go!

THIS is the live action Street Fighter I've been wanting to see ever since the first Hollywood Street Fighter was announced and was subsequently disappointed by what was released.

Props to the guys of this series for all those feels from watching this series, roll on season 2!

Did Capcom had any input in the production of this series?

Holy shit this was so good WHY AM I FEELING ALL THESE EMOTIONS AFTERWARD?

I've been a Street Fighter fan since I was like.... seven, so well over 20 years at this point, and this movie just.... nailed it. It nailed all the wonderful aspects of the franchise; the action, the characters, the mythos, the cheesiness, the humor. Just all of it. Maybe it's all the nostalgia and strong affection I have for Street Fighter that's making me biased, but man oh man I enjoyed this immensely.

I really hope this isn't the end of this production, but rather just the beginning.

I loved it. Taking into the account the low budget that they had, they pretty much blew away that Chun-Li movie. Hollywood should take some notes about adapting existing material for their movies.

The only thing that bothered me a bit was Ryu's Satsui no Hado deviating from canon, and the fact that their pick-up truck was a left-wheel drive (Japan is right-wheel). I also wished that Ryu had thrown a red fireball (since Ken already had his flaming Dragon Punch). Aside from that though, amazing adaptation.

geez man, imagine this live action happened when I was a kid

just finished all the eps, fuck, season 2 needs to happen

dat ending with Gouken

Really glad to see you are all really enjoying it :D

As someone mentioned early, no news on the TV and BluRay/DVD release dates, but an announcement will be made at some point.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the work you and everyone who worked on this. I knew this would be good, but not THAT good. I'm not even upset about the ending;
we know what's coming, but Gouken sharing that last moment with the on-going legacy before his death match was a great ending by itself.
Close to manly Shoto tears from me too.

And holy shit at the
Dan
,
Ono
, and
Mega-Man 2/NES
cameos!

It feels like the bar has been set for live-action video game adaptations. Hollywood budgets be damned, the key is people producing who give a damn about the source material. After MK:L and SF:AS, I'd almost prefer all VG attempts be done like this from now on. I'll be supporting this series for sure now, starting with the Blu-Ray/DVD release.

Thank you guys for showing the franchise some respect and making the movie I've wanted since I was a child. It was beautiful. Now get to work on Vega. =) I hope Bison, Vega, Balrog and Sagat get their own epsiodes dedicated to their origins one day.

This is fantastic!

Someone gets these guys to make an actually good tekken movie!

It's fantastic cause the crew involved actually likes and follows the SF lore. They'd have to like Tekken as much to get it that good.

Have Mark-Man make a Tekken movie, maybe.

Also kens boxing dad needs to be in the next street fighter

Also the OG sestui no hado , gotestu's brother needs to be in the next street fighter.

I Dunno how but do it

But Tekken is 50x more over the top as Street Fighter in general.

Depends on the story threads, I hope one day someone competent actually makes a tekken movie.

Oh ok cool, what you are saying is I need to get ripped and learn how to act.

This was really good! I was really surprised how high quality everything was, and I appreciate that they released all the episodes in one gulp. Are they planning a second season?

Just finished all episodes in one sitting.

Hats of to the production team. An amazing endevour to translate this long running game series with fragments of "lore" around it in an all out fitting origin story.

Sure it's not completely perfect, I particularly sense that there were some issues with editing and fitting together/placing of
the past storyline with Gouken/Goki and the current storyline with Ken/Ryu
. Though it might feel a bit tighter if not chopped into 10 minute pieces (or it might feel worse, fuck do I know? I'm not a film student.).

The rest though: fight choreography was good and integrated and translated the iconic movesets perfectly. But also props, landscapes, cinematography and especially the costume design hit the nail on the head. Considering the probably meager budget a great feat.

Hopefully funding for season 2 will improve after the awesomely executed first season so we can get a bigger variety of film sets and locations! Looking forward to it.

There is a shelved idea, but Joey and Chris have been working on this for 3 years straight. Joey has said in a few interviews they'd like to take a break and then return to the franchise.
