I read somewhere that this year the format of the Sony conference will be different, maybe the new boss will change SCEA policy on Vita too :) ...

... if not we'll be lucky if we get a pair of late and bad ports no one asked for + some indies :(

So is there no hype for Mind Zero or Monster Monpiece? I can't seem to find an OT for either game :(

I'll buy Monster Monpiece, but not at d1 because backlog.

I don't think the sequel hit any of it's stretch goals for other platforms besides PC. So many shitstarters blow the doors off, but La Mulana 2 barely made it.

Guys.... for how long has R&C: A Crack In Time been on PSN? Or did it just release a few days ago?

Edit: Boy I'm dense. It says it right on the store page. May 21st 2014. That was a stealth release, wasn't it?

Yea, they didn't even make it far enough to reveal the price point for the Vita stretch goal, makes me very sad since I backed it day 1. But maybe if the first game comes to vita and sells just enough it will warrant La Mulana 2 coming to vita down the road, I can always dream right?

I'm hyped for Monster Monpiece, but I don't have the talent to make an OT. Mind Zero I can wait for, but it still looks interesting.

Wasn't it literally GoW Collection and Dead Nation?

Yup, it was Dead Nation, GoW Collection and The Walking Dead Vita bundle.

Edit: They also talked about FFX/X-2 and Flower.

I'm hyped for Monster Monpiece, I've never played a card battle game before and it looks interesting. I wish they had replaced the "suggestive" cards with new sexy monster girl images instead of just censoring and removing them, but whatever. I think I'll live.

I'm waiting for more impressions about Mind Zero. I've read just about every importer's take on it but I'd like to see how the localization turns out. We're not exactly swimming in Vita games like the JPN market is so maybe it being "average" is still worth a purchase. I like the, er, borrowed art style and first person dungeon crawlers in general so I'm keeping an eye on it.

I played it, it won't give you a good impression of card games. I didn't understand the card effects but it felt like there was no depth and it grew incredibly repetitive by the second half. It's sort of the card game equivalent of groaning every time you run into a random encounter every few steps in an RPG, crossing your fingers every time you run into the next mystery node hoping that it isn't an enemy. The closest comparison I can make is Costume Quest, which I absolutely hated.

In the end game the rare cards are obscene. I opened hundreds (if not thousands) of the same pack and still had a bunch I'd yet to see, cheating of course. Half of the trophies are online-only and online play felt like potluck of how rare of cards the enemy had over you (a lot of which you only obtain by winning online consecutively. Losing online loses one of the items you need a set of. So it's an uphill battle where losing loses you progress. Not fun.)

There's a reason they sell the game on the suggestive artworks, it isn't a good game in its own right (IMO). And that isn't a selling point anymore since it's censored.

Here. That was back in March though, so plans may have changed. I can see them changing Gravity Rush myself.

That read more to me like "I don't wanna say anything and regret it later, so I'll just say that there are no plans now and cover my ass" kind of response back when I read it. At least, it would be nice.

Also, I need a game to replace Demon Gaze for my study breaks once I finish it! It has been pretty perfect, grid based auto move, turn based mindless trash battles, and grinding that feels productive, all things perfect for taking a 20 second study break to do a battle or two every 5-10 min (hey, it works for me!). Though I guess it isn't so easy finding a game that has grinding, is mindless, but is also considered good!

Ick... doesn't sound too enticing. Thanks for the impressions.

Disgaea? Not exactly the same but you could definitely grind a few moves at a time

Has anyone has any experience traveling with Vita's charger?
The input matches the country voltage standard that I'm traveling to. Just want to be sure, might get a voltage converter if needed.

Oh god. I have to do another block of Tartarus? ughhhhh
Some really late game P3P December spoilers follow
Well you guys were right. You'd have to be a complete idiot to get the bad ending by accident. Digging the new music in the dorm during September. Anyway, going to eat some Pizza and then just blast through what I assume is the final block of Tartarus now.

Disgaea was what I was thinking as well, but I'm not sure where to start. I have D3 free from PS+, but I heard that 1 and 2 were better story and character wise, and I wouldn't mind paying if it was better enough. And there are also multiple versions of each game, any recommendations on where to start?

If you have Disgaea 3 already, you might as well play it. The basic gameplay is about the same in every game. If you like Disgaea 3, you should then buy D4 (my favorite in the series) and maybe go back to D1/D2 when they are on sale.

Now that I've platinum'd VLR, I'll need to move on to a new Vita game. I'm thinking about focusing on Transistors on the PS4, but maybe for the handheld I'll look into Totori.
