Not sure what the fascination is with guns and ammo in the states.

I send my condolences to the victims of this senseless crime.

Have you ever been hunting or shooting at a range? I'm not crazy about guns but I will admit when I have shot some off they were fun.

On topic all of those posts and vids looked like straight trolling, but given what happened I dunno if I will look at posts like that the same anymore. The video in the OP was disturbing.

For what? shooting at targets or pointing out a car killing people?
You don't think 400rounds is "not that much" to take to the streets and kill people with?

Magazines are actually the bigger issue when it comes semi automatic weapons. Guns can't load themselves, and putting a bullet in the chamber each time you want to fire with semi automatic guns makes the gun being semi automatic not mean anything.

For example: a guy with 15 magazines all loaded with 100 extra bullets is a lot more dangerous in a shooting compared to somebody with 3 loaded magazines and a extra 500 rounds of ammo. Loading magazines with new ammo takes time. Of course the magazine size to begin with also matters, but for that example imagine both magazines hold the same ammo types and have a capacity of 15 rounds.

I mother fucking hope she lives. I'd just get more emotional if that asshole gets what he had wanted.

Me too. :(

Also, according to the press conference, he banged on the door of the sorority house for 1-2 minutes, before shooting the three victims outside. Thank god none of the sorority girls opened the door or he would have killed all of them.

I grew up with guns but there is really no good reason for somebody to own more than a bolt action rifle and a pump action shotgun.

I think of the victims and their final thoughts " I will never be a victim of guns..that shit don't happen for real..."

pretty sure all the victims were against guns.

Why doesn't this stuff happen to gun fans?

I see 2 psychiatrists and own multiple guns. But that's beside the point: That was the most boring manifesto I've ever read. Aside from the ending, I wouldn't even think this kid was crazy if I didn't know better.

Uuuhhh. Wat. From the very start to the end those are not 'normal' thoughts. Unless you mean his younger years. Everything from teenage on is crazy shit. That whole thing is off kilter from prologue to epilogue and I read the whole thing.

Calm your tits. I'm saying that in general 400 rounds of ammo is not that much for an average gun owner to have. That's 4 boxes of ammo, and I go through that much consistently at the gun range.

He probably doesn't, and I'm not anywhere near the end yet. He played a lot of PC games and console games:

Mario 64
Goldeneye
Banjo series
Halo 1
Halo 2
Counter Strike
Day of Defeat
Diablo 2
Warcraft 3

Eventually he became obsessed over World of Warcraft.

He even hated the Cataclysm expansion like everyone else.

The thing about the mags/ammo is that most people don't have the money to make that happen.

You can't regulate the sale of mags. They are pieces of plastic with a spring in it.

Skimmed though that document and it doesn't seem like he ever even once attempted to pick up a girl. Spent his whole life in anger because they didn't come running to him.

looks like he stabbed the 3 people in his apartment to death. wonder how he was able to do this without there being a huge scene. maybe he stabbed them in their sleep?

though that is an admirable feat of strength rewarding atleast 100 points. You gotta know reality from movie world.

Dunno. No way he could have overpowered three people at the same time. Someone on Fox was theorizing that he killed them one at a time with a lot of time in between, which an autopsy would be able to determine rather quickly.

Because he was so full of himself (and shit) that he felt that they should (no, were obligated to) just come to him because he had money, dressed nice and drove a nice car.

No one really knew he was crazy or how crazy he was. You're just looking for easy answers when confronted with complicated issues.

The pile of evidence (before the killings) attached to his name and his name alone directly points to him being severely disturbed and a threat to himself and society.

Sounds depressed he never had sex, and decided to kill the people that rejected him.

Keep in mind I'm not a psychologist.

If it was clinical depression he would have killed himself, as we're down on ourselves rather than the world. His use of terms like "Alpha Male" and "Perfect Sophisticated Gentleman" is what suggests to me Narcissistic personality disorder. A person with that type of disorder presents an outward appearance of arrogance but internally they're hypervigilant about being hurt, oversensitive, and ashamed. They're also envious of those who seem better off than them, the whole "Why is she with that asshole when she could be with a perfect specimen like ME? There's nothing wrong with ME, so there must be something wrong with her." would be pretty typical thinking. Using Theodore Millon's subtypes, the Unprincipled Narcissist seems the best fit: deficient conscience, arrogant, contemptuous, and especially in this case, vindictive.

the sorority at a college he attended i believe.

Yeah, he'd identified that sorority as the one with the most beautiful girls. The ones he hated most because they wouldn't give him the attention he wanted.

His first phase was against the men who get the girls, the second against the women, and the third was going to be against his family. He was stopped before he got that far.

He planned to kill his younger brother so he couldn't grow up to be better than him.

Why are people with mental health issues allowed to own guns in the US ?

He got the guns before he was involved with psychiatrists. It could be done retroactively but I guess he fooled the psychiatrists to some degree like he did the cops. They would have to have a clear indication he was a threat to himself or others, and maybe he didn't present like that.

The police interviewed him at his home following the video but didn't search the place. If they had they would have found the guns. He talks about how close they came to stopping him in the manifesto.

I haven't read many manifestos, but to me, he comes across as pretty unhinged in his writings.

It's just so foreign to me that any random guy could even legally own a handgun, let alone three of them. I don't know how people deal with it, I'd be afraid to ever go outside.

sadly this kid will be more famous than 99.9% of us. I am happy with that.

He shouldn't be famous at all, he should be forgotten about like the slime-ball piece of shit that he was.

If anyone should be remembered from this stupid tragedy, it's the victims, not the fuck-wad who committed it.

Sadly, the media doesn't see it that way since it won't get ratings.

Jesus Christ what a sick fuck. He deserved more than a quick death. He needed to live out the rest of his pathetic existence behind bars. I promise this little shit wouldn't have remained a virgin for long. I have family and friends where he decided to "make his statement". Fuck him.

Why are people with mental health issues allowed to own guns in the US ?

I don't think he was actually diagnosed, nor was he involuntarily committed to a mental health hospital, nor was he convicted of a felony, nor was he at the time considered a threat to himself or others.

You guys see the truth. Its a sad world.

I hope for the sake of the families involved no other crazies will pull the false flag card again and start harassing them.

sadly this kid will be more famous than 99.9% of us. I am happy with that.

And more hated that 99.9% of us, something else to be happy about. Relative anonymity is a good thing, being known only to the people that matter to you and that you matter to. To be remembered as a good person by a few people is much better than being remembered as a cunt by millions.

Why are people with mental health issues allowed to own guns in the US ?

Your premise is flawed. You're basically assuming that people with violent mental health issues are allowed to own guns by default. As if society agreed that's the way it should be.

The real question is why is it extremely difficult to adjudicate those with violent fantasies and mental illness as such and get them hospitalized?

And the reason is that it's a very specific process to get someone ruled as incompetent in a court of law.

It's not about calling the police. It's about getting a judge to make that ruling.

Why are people with mental health issues allowed to own guns in the US ?

They're not, but with how easy it is to get a gun, some people fall through the cracks.

And good luck getting any law passed since the NRA is quick to lobby any bills to submission.

truer words were never spoken.
