Will mass layoffs caused by AI result in the end of feminism?

Would you ever trust a mechanical being to not crush your dick during a malfunction?
That a malfunction....or a feature???? :P

Why would you put a giant vise in the kitty? Just moderate amount of circumferential tension and a little vacuum pressure is all you (I) need. It's like the movies, why engineer these domestic bots with the ability to lift a car, sprint at 60 mph, and leap over walls? Design them to pick up 20 pounds max and walk no faster than 3 mph and you never have to worry about a robot rebellion :P

Yes, but whilst you're inside there you're going to have to work also in a 1999 world. No way the AI will let you live an ancient Greek life where you hang around the townsquare eating grapes and philosophizing all day.
Why not? We COULD program that as the AIs overarching goal. It's not like they would ever have a desire we didn't instill in them and removed from any biological impulse of propagation, pretty much everything is just a means to an end, and we can set the end.

Human greed for material accumulation, dominance, and power will lead to AIs being 'forced' to achieve those goals, but I don't think any AI would (if they were able to) chose such a goal itself.

Joking aside, it's a bait article looking for clicks. Manufacturing, warehouse work, transportation and farming are all industries that are male dominated which are and will continue to be impacted by AI/Automation.

End of the day.. It is going to impact us all.

For people who like a firmer squeeze?

Dude some people like to get their nipples electrified during sex, they are gonna cover every possible kink with sex robots.

Dream on, this will be you when you wake up in the matrix:

Which will fall to automation first, nursing or doctors?

I actually think it will be doctors first, i.e. making the diagnosis and prescribing treatment, monitoring therapy, even performing certain procedures. Obviously not ALL doctors, but the vast majority of the primary care environment and the areas that are essentially high level pattern recognition (radiology, pathology, etc). The nursing side, observing the patient, tracking and charting (to make sure the AI is on the correct path), interfacing with the family, providing comfort to the patient, that will stay a human occupation. Though I suspect an elderly care bot, much like Robot and Frank (great film, BTW) will be a common thing (minus the crime).

Mechanical cock sleeves controlled by a phone already exist. So I would assume many would line up for this.
These things don't have robotic legs that can crush your pelvis tho.

You don't have to think about a cock sleeve (nice name btw) you have to think about the entire body of another person with much more strenght than you that can crush you at any given moment for a malfunction or when skynet is gonna take the lead :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

No doubt many people would love sex robots, i would just pointing out the risks.

Probably doctors. Of the two it is the one that requires more precision and less humanity. As crass as that sounds.

Hey, a world before smartphones and social media, where PS1 is in its prime and Dreamcast is the hot new system, doesn't sound so bad to me. Where do I sign up?

This is what they said about the industrial revolution. I haven't heard anyone explain why AI is so different. It may well be but I've never seen anyone address this.
It's a combination of the factors. Such as the advancements in AI, who controls it and wealth distribution in general. But most importantly that most jobs can be automated.
