Never played Other M (which, judging by SmashGAF standards, I dodged a bullet), but Fusion was the first Metroid game I played start to finish and, yeah, it's just straight up Alien. Still, such an awesome game.

Speaking of Metroid, I'd love a Metroid stage that isn't brown/grey or lava based. Phendora Drifts comes to mind as a cool Metroid locale.

Fusion is a mix of Alien/Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection. Samus becoming part Metroid like Ripley becoming part Xenomorph. Having Samus working for a corrupt government that wants to turn aliens into weapons. There was even a scene in Resurrection where they have to go through a flooded part of the ship and they encounter underwater xenomorphs and Fusion has these guys: http://i.imgur.com/M4LRHvW.gif

Other M took things from the Alien franchise like Samus having PTSD like Ripley in Aliens and Alien 3. Its plot is poorly told but it's not bad. People exaggerate.

You know, I LOVE Alien and Aliens, and, while I can't defend Alien Resurrection, I actually really like Alien 3. Totally not in the same league as the first two, but man is it fun!

I hope not! I think his best days are behind him. Fortunately, he's too busy making the new Avatar trilogy to mess with Metroid. If they ever make a Metroid movie, it needs to be someone who's cool with having stretches of time with no dialogue, not just someone who can do action. I know John Woo was thinking about it like 10 years ago...which, could be fine. But, man, if they got someone like Rian Johnson. I'd be first in line to see that shit.

All that being said, just focus on making some more Metroid games first Nintendo!

-Do you think now that we have Ike back, we'll see the Wii U Fire Emblem stage soon

-Also Mario Kart 8 releases this week, so hopefully Wario announcement?

I'd hope for a wario announcement, but we just got Ike confirmed. I'd bet on some clarification on what the blue spiny shell does

Wizzrobe? The guy who gained fame primarily through Project M, and quit shortly thereafter? No chance in hell that's the actual list.

No M2K is a pretty big warning siren as well. If anyone makes it to the invitational, it has to be him.

I could see Wario getting shown for Mario Kart 8, would be crazy to get two vets in back to back weeks but if you aren't going to highlight any drastic changes ala Charizard, Shiek, Yoshi, or ZSS I guess no reason to save him for e3 when really new comers should be the focus

I'll give this "leaker" credit: They didn't just make a "Who's Who" list of Smash players, instead going with some smaller names to make it feel more realistic.
Sad thing is, we'll be lucky to get anything anywhere near this good.

Toph as a Player? He's a good double player but his singles is awkward to watch.

I've never even heard of Milktea or Rapture. Seems pretty bogus to me. It seems pretty likely that the people who have been "Signed" by the esports dollar kings of Liquid/Crs/EG/Cloud9 are likely participants. Not having some or all of those would likely make the majority of players/stream monsters pretty unhappy.

It's just an exhibition, but I hope Nintendo actually asked some of the community of who should actually be in this thing. Otherwise they might as well have asked 16 random reviewers on the floor to participate instead.
