Quantum Break Gameplay Teaser, delayed to 2015, debut at Gamescom

Really? I think people forget what the lighting actually looks like in those top tier games. QB isn't quite there yet. Just a quick rough comparison.

Anyway, different strokes.

The only problem I have with this comparison is that you are comparing a daytime scene in ryse with a night time scene in QB. Ryse could certainly look better for all I know, but a better comparison should be made to get this point across.

The best part about the graphics (more than the technical aspects) is the art style and some of the time effects. The game really looks awesome from those perspectives.

The characters also look well designed.

Look Remedy is great, and im sure the game will be awesome and the story great.
But do not let them fool you, you know what the Xbox is capable of. Dont expect off the chart graphics.
And if the graphics will be insane other Parys of the game will suffer.
Its just being realistic.
Same with Infamous, a game so beautifull but very shallow.
I fear the same for the Order.

If you don't think The Order looks good what DO you think looks good?

The Last Of Us, Uncharted, Borderlands 2, Batman AC, Gears of War 2, God of War, Braid, Rayman Legends, GTAV, LittleBigPlanet, Ninokuni, Journey, Resogun, Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite,Trine 2, Mirror's Edge, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Kart 8 and many more.

I'm not saying that no one should think a game looks good, I'm saying that the "OMG LOOKS SOOO BEAUTIFUL" are most of the time praising the technical performance, and opinions should be more diverse about the look of a game.

I think people today mostly think "realistic = beautiful", and I'm sad about this.

Hope he runs better than Alan Wake.

Looks pretty good in the clip, screens seem a bit wonky but maybe just the effects not coming across well.

Another good thing about this gen is that people are staying away from T-pose modeling. The torso of characters look much better when they are modeled in a more natural pose.

Play the game before you try to insult it. Characters in ISS do cast shadows from sunlight, it is just certain light sources (such as headlights on cars I believe) that do not cast shadows. Quantum break looks great graphically and I am really excited for it because I loved the Max Payne series and Alan Wake, but that doesn't mean you have to shit on other games that are not on a Microsoft console.

I guess it was only a matter of time before comparisons with The Order would come up :D

My 2 cents is that they are not on the same level of fidelity at all, while QB looks great, The Order is still on another level.
I think that the art and design are the strong points of QB, really like those and the game has a very unique look, but so does The Order which at the end have a level of fidelity that QB doesn't really touch.

I don't know dude, to me that looks super confined. All the clips from the trailer do if I'm honest, but I wouldn't want to judge on the scope of the game till we've seen more.

Here's what I'm talking about from the trailer. Overall things look quite cramped and small arena like. Not seeing any huge vistas or dense environments.

I dunno... As they pointed out, You can play on the bridge where the truck falls, and the other area where the truck is falling into. Despite the small glimpses that at first doesn't show much, this could mean at some overall large areas.

Imagine after completing a scenario, you watch a pulled back, real-time cinematic replaying it all in one session; where a dozen iterations of yourself scurry around to shape the events in the scene, like a replay at the end of a Super Meat Boy level.

Heck even watch dogs PC doesn't have shadows cast from car head lights.

They totally should though considering GTAIV on PC does, lol

Looked pretty from what they showed, curious why they are not at E3 and are instead at Gamescon. That whole "going into production thing" really must have meant "full production."

Looks like Alan Wake in 1080p with FXAA. Am I missing something?

Still, the only title that interest me on XBO.

Nah, this looks way better. Just look at the way the character animates and how accurate the materials look (looking at you leather coat).

Damn, this game looks good.

Can't wait for the official reveal, I hope it's not just limited to gameplay though. I want to see how the TV interacts with said gameplay as well as how good the TV show is.

Fingers crossed we get a show similar to Night Springs and doesn't take itself too seriously.

Huh. Was expecting to see a proper reveal, but it ends up being Lake babbling for most of the trailer about how awesome his game is, and then a million 0.5s snippets of footage (seems like a lot of it was cutscenes too) put together.
Wouldn't surprise me if this is a holiday 15 title.

Oh, looks nice. What's up with the truck and that ripple effect? Time stop/slow down having a hiccup? is that triggered?

Well, that's just theorising now isn't it? Even then, it wouldn't necessary imply either of the two descriptors you mentioned earlier. So there's a bit on a bridge, and a segment just over it. That's not a huge vista or a dense environment really…

But I don't mean to pick at you. I'm just saying, maybe we should assign these sorts of opinions for when we actually see them from the game.

Seems like "NEXT-GEN" came out a year too early, for both Sony and Microsoft.

Everything is pushed to 2015.

Yup, seems like this was the year next-gen really should've launched. All these delays speak to devs needing more time to get comfortable with their engines on next-gen hardware, etc.

Who mentioned playing? You mentioned that ISS "looks" better, not me. All I did was counter that with comments based on the look of Quantum Break. Its OK, after all QB is coming a full year after ISS so it is allowed to look better, which it does :)...
