At the very least, yes. Some are straight-up product registrations, though, so potentially way more. Don't make me add it up, I don't want to cry!
 
50 coins to Platinum .... I don't want to get Platinum since they can't ship the things to my country =/

But the NES Remix coins expires in 2 weeks and Mario Kart and ... =/

It's not about Platinum next year or the year after or the year after. It's about 10 years from now, if I'm not buying games due to *whatever*, and I still want Platinum. Digital alone would probably push me into Platinum next year, for example, since the DDP is ending in December, so going to get most all "To-Do" Wii U purchases that would push over 500 DDP points by then.
 
God these rewards suck. I've got 1500 coins that I've been saving up and literally nothing that wasn't sold out has grabbed my eye. Bring back the damn golden nunchuck to match my zelda one, or something. I don't know. Even the virtual titles I already own.
 
Okay, this is freakin' weird... Logged in to CN a few minutes ago, and I have two product registration surveys for DS Lites in my to-dos. The thing is, I registered my DS Lite a long-ass time ago -- we're talking years here -- so I have no idea where these came from.
 
I wonder if it's the same thing that happened with me & Super Mario 3D World. Do the registered DS Lites still appear on your history?
 
I'm awful at filling out those surveys right away... so it irks me that if I buy a digital title, if I happen to forget about it for a bit, it expires and I'm fucked. This will be the first year since this started I won't be platinum status because of this. I drop hundreds on Nintendo stuff each year - could at least keep the expiration dates on the surveys the same as the physical copies.

I just checked and I have a 30 coin survey for Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, which I registered years and years ago, lol. Then I did the survey and it appears to have given me coins and the post-play. Weird.

After seeing it mentioned I counted mine as well and I've managed to miss out on around 100 points, nothing too bad but still a nice little chunk that I might have found useful.

I'll have to keep a better eye on that stuff.
 
Hey does anyone know if you can register Virtual Console games? I bought WarioWare on Wii U a couple days ago and it's not showing up on my to do list.

I've asked several times for email notifications of new surveys. You'd think it'd be in everyone's best interest for them to do so.
 
So, how many days do you get after a digital download to take the survey to get the points for it. When I downloaded Wii Fit U it looked like 30. Essentially I want to know the earliest I can download Mario Kart while still having the points count for next year. Im guessing June 1 so that I can register July 1.

Funky. I'm hesitant to jump on these surveys since they're clearly a mistake, but on the other hand, maybe it's like the "There's been a bank mistake in your favor" card in a game of Monopoly.

UPDATE: I filled out one of the surveys, didn't give me an error but it also didn't add any coins. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

I didn't get coins when I took advantage of the free* copy of Wii Fit U - where you download a free demo, and buy the fit meter, and it converts the free demo into the full version.

Ah, yes. You won't get any coins on that one. I think it will only apply for those games with download code like Wind Waker etc.

Same here - all these coins and nothing to buy... Kart 64 was tempting, but not with MK8 coming this week.

Hoping things shape up soon.
 
Does anybody know if buying things from Rusty's shop on the 3DS will give you more Nintendo Coins?

I was going to buy the first game for 2 bucks after haggling it down to the lowest price, but I forgot that the year is changing next month.
 
I recall you get a post-play survey, but I have no idea if it's just for downloading the main "hub" (I think it's this one) or if you have to buy your first game.

I do know that you only get one survey & that's it. You don't earn any more for downloading more games.
 
Rusty's Real Deal Baseball gives you a post-play survey for downloading (no buying needed), and there is no additional CN coins for DLC content, just like there was none for FE.

5 coin registration survey + 10 coin post-play survey. the surveys are just for downloading the free app.

Yeah, I already got those and it's what pushed me over Gold - which is why I didn't buy Mario 3D Land with the new price yet. Waiting on the turn over.

I was mostly referring to the in-game DLC. It's a no extra coins on that then?

yah, pretty sure no DLC has ever contributed anything to Club Nintendo, unfortunately
 
This is really irrelevant but I've been ploughing through some 10 coin surveys I hadn't yet done and decided to take a look at the current rewards page... it is so pitiful. The worst it has ever been by far. :(

Thank God for the monthly games. I would never ever use my coins if it weren't for them. Really excited for the June selection because it is usually the best month for the free games.

I want that MK8 shirt so bad.

That's what I need to do, is start looking at the monthly games. I think the only thing I have been interested in the last few years was the XL cradle and that lasted on the store for about 30 seconds. I have 1600 coins, 70 of which expire soon, but there's nothing on there I want, and I keep thinking if I use coins and suddenly something amazing pops up, I'll feel terrible.

Why am I putting so much thought into this?
 
I wouldn't be surprised if they continue the trend from last year with the choice of a poster set and an OST for the Plat reward. Not exciting but if that's the only way to get music CDs in NA then I guess it will have to do. They'll never top the Mario hat or statue at this point anyways :(

Only OST that would really get me excited is a DKC Tropical Freeze one. That would be amazing.

I'm not really sure what I would want figures are decent though... I missed plat last year (I think I may have been gold can't remember) but I got it the two years before that... I got it this year without much trouble though (yay for 8 games with unused club nintendo codes for $6 from a thrift store :P)
