Fighting Games Weekly | May 26-June 1 | Thank you, Keits

Okay there's this tiny issue with the AE Steamworks version.

You can't turn voice chat off, it is at full blast it makes everything other than the announcer super quiet.

Do Nothing

The OS thinks SSF4 is like Skype and nukes the sound of everything that isn't flagged as a voice...

I've always had that problem.

Mmm, that's weird. I know there's a difference because my DAC is messed up so the beginning of sounds are always clipped off. When I played prepatch the beginning of hit sounds, block sounds, and menu sounds were always clipped off (some menu sounds were inaudible lol). Now nothing gets clipped off.

Well I guess I also know there's a difference because I can hear the music now and I couldn't before :V. Maybe it was something weird with my version...

Seems like Bum is really upset about Spooky restreaming last night
http://a.pomf.se/jfmmmu.webm

Didn't he just rebroadcast NLBC yesterday?

Bum mad that spooky can get his pittance with a restream.

Yep. Conspiracy Bum at it again. Jesus christ

Bum wants so hard to get....I don't want to say mainstream, but a big tourney / following going, yet didn't understand for the longest time why House of Crack might not be the best idea for a name if you're trying to do that.

I'd rather watch Bum's stream than NLBC personally (mostly as a Marvel nut), but he just gotta do his thing. He can't worry about other people. Spooky has a right to rebroadcast his stuff (esp for the sponsors). Bum's got a great thing going, he just has to keep building it up.

I was watching Bum's stream last night and it was fun to see a non regular to HoC do so well. As for Spooky restreaming NLBC yesterday, I think this is a good idea, in fact I think Spooky should restream major events more often.

You know why Bum thinks Sp00ky did that shit on purpose? Cause Bum does that shit on purpose.
I've noticed that he chooses to stream when theres other things going on and wondered to myself whether he's doing it on purpose. Now I know he does.
If Sp00ky did restream at that time on purpose, then I'm sure that's why.

Egos and unrealistic expectations and things happened. I kinda wanna go in a bit, but I'll hold off. That'd be a lot of typing for no good reason.
People are worrying about the wrong stuff. Players just need to STFU and get better given the low level of play in the US... never mind that if they did that *gasp* their rank would go up anyway!

If this is bad, wait until people start getting a whiff of any real money... -_-
Anyone pick up Love Max?
My day at work right now has been the suck because I was playing it all last night. x_x Some of the changes are weird, but I think a lot of that is just trying to readjust. Netcode seems better than AH3s, at least (which also bodes well for UNIEL).

Did he say he does that on purpose? I don't remember hearing him say that on the video.

AE2012 on PC is pretty garbage now.

1) You have to force mute everyone individually you play against.
2) There's no automatic benchmark as far as I can see so you run into a lot of people playing Cammy on their mum's five year old laptop.
3) The connections range from god-tier to stuttery unplayable garbage
4) The leaderboards don't work

The saving grace is no GFWL.

So what's the difference from consoles?

Now?

That's how it has always been.

Is it still too late to contribute to the Q fund? It's not much but I got $15 to spare.

(And my offer to sponsor your entry to the SG side tournament if you enter as "GAF | Professor Beef" still stands, Q.)

More or less. The delusional and huge egos are really holding people back but whatever. I just run my locals and make sure DL doesn't burst into flames these days. Competitively, the scene is rough for the most part right now, but I'll keep doing what I do and just kinda stay out of it.

It's quite different to the GFWL AE I played for a few months. We're talking really nasty connection quality.
Eh... I have played against people with bad connections a lot online when GFWL was live.

None of what you described is any different from when it was with GFWL. Online experience ranged from very playable to completely unplayable.

You said now you know that he (I assume Bum) does it on purpose. I was just wondering how you knew for sure if neither said they did?

Because I had previously suspected that it was occurring, and now he's up in arms about someone else doing it.

It's like when someone is cheating on their spouse and then they start accusing the other person of cheating.

It takes grime to know grime.

Go check the Steam forum and you'll see what I'm on about. I never had this many connection issues when I was playing the GFWL version. And I recall the leaderboards worked and I didn't have to mute everyone individually.

Looks like there is some nasty issues with controller compatibility too.

Uploaded some Rise of Incarnates gameplay vids:

Fun for alpha, with some changes it has good potential.

Yep, that's American Full Boost alright lol. Not like that's a bad thing though.

I was forced to benchmark when I first tried to go online after the update, but that might be because I never tried to play AE online on my PC before.

The benchmark is still forced when you change your settings.

Nice, I wasn't getting prompted for it I guess because I transferred my save across.

The slowdown-a-thon could also be down to playing against total randoms because my ranking didn't carry over. I'll check it out again later to see if it's stabilized.
