In Brawl, if you get killed too often, you get a Pity Final Smash.

I don't think 4 stocks is enough to trigger that though (if it even exists anymore).

I want them to exploit anything as they can so they can take a note for balance before the games went gold. I know it's pretty low chance of it happening but I'm going to wish for it.

I'm not sure the duration of play is going to be enough to determine what's broken.

not only do I doubt anyone could find something truly broken in that little time, I'd also rather not have an advanced technique taken out just because someone felt that it was "cheap"

It is also impossible to win consistently at games with high variance.

The FFA Smash with items on high must have really low variance....

I just checked, and the video is sped up lol. It seems like it will take quite a while for it to get filled. And we don't know if it resets once you get killed.

or that in such a chaotic FFA it's gonna be difficult to build up that meter considering you lose some every time you get hit

The power meter grows as you get hit and when you land hits.

Pity Final Smashes also do not appear in tournaments. One might argue that allowing Pity Final Smashes would allow a badly beaten player to stage a comeback, as they do not appear at random like Smash Balls do. However, this can only happen in a match of at least 6 stocks

idk if this is correct, but if it is, that implies an effective difference of 10 points rather than 5, in which case someone spawning on their last stock, assuming they haven't gotten any kills up to this point (-3), would need to have someone with 7 kills and no deaths (+7), or any other combination with a score of +7

I can confirm that in Brawl, Pity Smashes can be given out in a 3-stock match if one player is destroying the other.

So I'm pretty sure it's 5 points, not 10.

Whoa! Unexpected but awesome news. I watched the one Lucario movie when he was announced for Brawl and really enjoyed it. It's a shame that he seems to no longer have the Kamehameha as a Final Smash.

It might be, if things go your way. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes every single racer has it out for you. They have shocking accuracy with green shells, Roy Koopa is doing literally nothing but just bashing you off the road, and the only items you're getting are green shells and banana peels.
