Homing Attack

I noticed that the Homing Attack has a really neat looking charging and "release" animation effect. They're seriously going all out for this game in the graphical effects. Seems like they also changed his up air attack animation. It's more of a scissor kick now, and faster as well.

So, playing Mario Kart lately, that mirror-mechanic seems weirder to me. Every spin off focuses on these characters' backs, and the 3D games focus on Mario's. Even the 2D ones show the side. And pokemon shows both equally, but even weirder is that those games never mirror their characters anyway.

Seems like such a weird thing to "put a lot of work into." I don't mind their backs, Sakurai!

Anyway: out of all the available tournament characters, I am definitely most looking forward to HuGs' Samus.

I have high hopes for her this time with her improved Charge shot and her up smash being a kill move. I just hope her missiles kill at high percents again!

Also Little Mac and Megaman & Rosalina but those are obviously hype.


On a side note I am really excited to try Toon Link one day but that may be because of Project M. I heard he sucks but I main him now because he feels so amazing. His projectile game is ridiculous and set up some early kills and dat fsmash and neutral a combo are sexy for edge guards

Just MK8 hype. Chances are we will get one on Wii U just like MK7 got one on 3DS. Just me guessing though, no one knows for sure.

Nintendo should do a show like Coast to Coast, but with with Nintendo characters and developers.
Captain Rainbow can be the host.Or better yet instead of Space Ghost Zorak and Moltar, it's Samus Ridley and Kraid!

In the direct, Samus uses her UpSmash to kill a character. There's no way to tell what percentage the victim was at but at least we know it kills at some point now, instead of being weak as shit even at high percents.

Yep: just looked it up. Her only reliable kill move in brawl was her dtilt, bair, & dair spike.
Her charge shot killed over 100% but is predictable.

With just the 2 changes we know of, she is better. Faster moving/charging/more powerful charge shot and an usmash that kills.

Looking promising.

I would be shocked. I love metroid, samus is my main, and I want ridley but even I don't believe.

I really would like a reboot/new metroid series with some better antagonists for samus. Maybe a game exploring the idea of bounty hunting while keeping space exploration.

Not always. We got a Mario Kart 8 release date in February, a Tropical Freeze release date in October (though it accompanied a delay), Tomodachi Life in April, etc.

Pretty sure we're going to find out the date at E3.

Hell, last year Pokémon X/Y got an October 12 release date announced at E3. The big games tend to have their release dates announced 3-4 months beforehand.

Getting an August/September release date sounds likely.
