The manga audience and the anime audience are actually very different over there.

Not at first it didn't...then they got to the Grand Line...One Piece tended to switch out its EDs pretty damn quick.

It's a Saturday morning cartoon, so I would say so. The anime is pretty damn censored at this point compared to the manga.
Manga = Everyone reads it
Anime = Sunday morning cartoon for 5-10 year old Japanese boys
Yeah.
It's still fairly bloody, but it can't get away with some of the more brutal scenes from the manga.
