You can always try the .webm version of those.
For example, instead of looking at http://giant.gfycat.com/HomelyCluelessBat.gif modify the URL and look at http://gfycat.com/HomelyCluelessBat (be sure to remove the bit before gfycat.com).

At first I wasn't fond of the Koopalings in MK8, but all of these gifs have won me over.
