Did I? I don't remember saying that at all. I was predicting that some if not all of the Japanese coming were probably just the Topanga guys(mainly Mago and Tokido). But I was way off on that. The 5 Gods will be at EVO, that's good enough.
As for the Capcom Pro Tour. I think it's pretty clear now that the Japanese are not going to try and qualify by earning points. When they're ready or can attend, they'll just enter a premiere tournament. But they're not going to be at all the events and stack points like crazy like Team EG America is doing.

Agreed. It still feels unfinished. With the exception of Decapre all the new characters haven't been transferred very well which results in an awkward feeling gameplay. Their animations and walk speed seem off. Their jumping animation/height is questionable. They have seem to have some of the least combo potential in the game.
This made me happy!

But yeah, everytime I play Poison and I stumble upon a Hugo, I feel bad for him. Looks like a 73 - 0 match-up...

The most painless process for me is finding a good endless match host and just trying to stick to that room. If I want to do random ranked it's very hit or miss and mostly miss. When I had my 360 I never had any issues so I don't think connection is terrible or anything.

Also did any of you have any problems where selecting the dlc for the new characters would freeze your game? I have that problem and I think I have to reinstall.

i fully regret the $15 i spent on ultra on PSN.
steamworks was giving me shit, but at least it's a godsend compared to whats going on on PSN.
freezing. Random logging off PSN even though my internet is still up, every random match takes like 15 seconds just to tell me the room was full, and when i host i get 1 match like every 2 minutes even though its packed with people.

Mike Ross said on the UltraChen stream last night that twitch called some of the Japanese players up but they couldn't get the time off work. I got a feeling KOG definitely got enough votes to make it.

I did like 2 hours or more yesterday on the PSN version, and it was fine. Not "looks like offline fine!", but no big lag or nasty "waiting for other player" popup. I'm in France and only played French people, though: we don't really have the problem of playing against people really far away from us.
I thought it didn't change anything concerning the online?
They're all high ranked players for the characters they play in Japan. They aren't well known by people who only follow US tournaments, but I'd say that Youtube online match uploaders like BV or YF24 have popularized them.

the new characters all seem to have very punishable attacks. I feel they made them weak to let people get used to them before buffing.
There seem to be a lot of hurtbox issues, but hopefully they're able to bugfix them for the disc release.
