Iggys too much of a stupid nerd to be cool. He's like that awkward high schooler who thinks he's the coolest kid in the room because he's smart, but everyone hates him because he's annoying and weird looking. Ludwig has the coolest name but has stupid hair and no personality. The only good one is Roy, although MKJ's stupidity is charming. Larry is also kinda cool because of how lame he is. He has like no defining characteristics, he's just Larry.

I don't like how his character design changed. He looks like he took on some of Fawful's face or something. Every time I play Toad's Turnpike in MK8, and I see those trucks driving with his eyes on it, I always think of Fawful first.

I'm actually kinda glad his redesign changed him so drastically. We didn't need three Koopalings with mohawks and almost nothing else as defining characteristics.
Whenever I spectate a race I always look for someone who plays as Ludwig. That evil smile he constantly has never fails to crack me up.

Pretty decent list, but is 9-volt really that plausible? I thought that Ashley was the most popular from the warioware series? And if she's an assist trophy, what makes 9-volt stand out as playable?

Here here! What a hardass she has been in Mk8, if it weren't for PGP stealing my heart she would still be my bottom bitch!
Ashely does seem to be the most popular, from her representation in Smash (outside of, obviously, Wario). 9-Volt makes more sense to me though; his games are basically all tributes to classic Nintendo games, and his character is basically that of an obsessed Nintendo fan. Thematically, it fits well with Smash.
Pig ganon is up there with Hyrule Warriors Impa as my top 5 most wanted newcomers, but that's me. I think 9-volt has no chance, but he would make a good 'weirdo' character because all of his attacks could be based off retro nintendo games. I'd love it if ACTUAL GAME BOY were playable. Would be the next evolution after ROB.
My top 5, for those curious are: Impa, Pig Ganon, Game Boy, Palutena, and Simon Belmont. My 'reaching for the clouds' would be captain N.
I don't miss Iwata in Directs and any other time he speaks in English, no offense. Hope he gets well soon though.

If WarioWare gets a new character, which I really doubt, it's gonna be Mona.
9-volt is a nintendo nut though, and would definitely help w/ the smash bros philosophy of being a 'record of nintendo' in some ways. I think a 9-volt inspired STAGE would be better, though. Kat and Ana could be samurai ice climbers, though!

I think mega means a new character (or confirmed return of a vet), a new mode, something significant changing in the smash "genre", something significant about the online or release date, or even a crazy hint that gives information after some effort.
As far as the smash website goes, the biggest reveal possible would be a veteran. That, or something that implies that a newcomer is almost guaranteed, like a xenoblade stage.
