The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt - E3 2014 Trailer - The Sword Of Destiny

They're supposed to be doing a 45 minute showing at E3.
Sure, but that's a press only even behind closed doors. no one knows what else they will be showing publicly.
If they are going to be on stage with one of the console manufacturers (which I would expect to be the case) I'm going to guess it will be just for another trailer/pre-recorded footage.

The character animations/movements don't seem impressive at all.
My only problem with this game's graphics is that the material effects don't look very good on some things. The cloth and metal looks pretty flat.
I'm starting to feel it's only a matter of days (maybe even hours) before someone will attempt to claim it looks like "junky euro garbage" or something.

MS would be my guess

Bloodworth on GT Time made a good point, it's a difficult game to demo in a short space of time.

And that 45 minute demo is behind closed doors, like last year

Expect more Witcher goodness next week though.

I think that MS will be likely, yet funny since Xbox One hasn't released in CDPR's homeland yet, has it?

Trailer is my guess, too. I do hope we get some gameplay by the end of E3, though. It looks phenomenal but I've never played one. In downloading Witcher 2 now per friend suggestions.

I hope they will let us activate our Steam keys on GOG again (seems very likely given both the other games do). I want all that extra goodies you get on GOG, but Steam was cheaper so I had to go with that. And I do prefer to have my games on Steam as well.

Pretty good price as well (though GOG still has the best deal if you own the first two games).

EDIT: Oh, just noticed it also makes the Steam version cheaper if you own both. 38€, what a fucking steal.

Fuck ,that's pretty expensive for me .. on GOG i can have the digit. version for 32 €, but on Steam it's 44 € (and then it's going to be 60 € ! - the retail version is going to be max 40 € with some cool physical bonuses )and with nothing else..on the other hand on GOG i can get so many bonuses.. but fuck, i wanted the CE but it's already sold out

Was suspected since TW2 was recently updated to support Linux/SteamOS.

I don't think it's gonna be day and date though, correct me if I'm wrong.

It was far from confirmed though since the eON wrapper they used for TW2 wouldn't work with TW3 since TW3 is DX11. It suggests that maybe TW3 will be a native linux port this time around.

So we can Steam ---> GOG but can we go GOG ---> Steam?

I dunno but for this game and they way they advertised it that stream I just felt getting it on GOG felt just right. All in all, I wish all new releases were this cheap on pc.

*looks at the prices on Origin...*

How did you get that price? I own the first two games and preordered and paid 43.79 € on GOG.

I'm excited for this, the Feb release also gives me time to complete Dragon Age beforehand as well.

I've just downloaded the Witcher 2 on Steam, which will be my first foray into the franchise. I'm sure I can read all the details from the first installment!

Will probably be the CGI trailer they teased at the end.

Must be a country thing, with both games on GOG i did get 27% off which came at 43,79€. But lots of goodies included so it's all good.

same here, will be getting this anyways but its odd

Weird, I own both Witcher 1 and 2 on gog.com, but I'm at €43.79. This whole pricing deal is super confusing at this point, haha.

Either way, I'll probably get it on gog.com shortly before release.

I'm guessing it's a polish price, CDPR games were always much cheaper here and so it is this time around (87€ for PC CE and 35€ for normal edition)

That 32 € price is actually for Slovakia - i assume it's a price for this region (Poland, Slovakia, Czech Rep., Hungary, maybe Germany, etc.)

I can't believe for how cheap they're selling the game. I mean, they could sell it for 10$ more and I bet it would still get as many pre-orders, crazy.

The game looks good and I am interested because its open world, but I hope the combat system and controls are changed completely from witcher 2. Those two aspects of the witcher 2 killed all my interest in it.
Also does this have a true day/night cycle ? Not just one where time of day changes when doing missions or resting, but will the time of day change when just exploring the world?

Really happy for CDP Red, everyone should try and get it on GOG if they can, get more money to them. Clearly the amazing trailer timed with preorder and E3 coming is a wonderful combo.
