I know, but I can dream. I'd much rather pacman have a stage where he and the ghosts are hazards. I think he's incredibly lame. I don't think klonoa has a chance, nor do I care about him all that much, but I think he has better character design.

I've been playing Empire of Dreams all weekend. I agree that Klonoa should make it over Pac-man for obvious reasons. At best he should be an Assist Trophy with his ghostly"pals".

My favorite Unova Pokémon along with few others! I hope he makes use of both forms!
Pic of the day. Remember the video that introduced Greninja joining the battle? Every Pokémon that appeared in that video will make some kind of appearance in Super Smash Bros! By the way, here's one of the Pokémon that didn't make an appearance in that video--Meloetta. Its vocal attacks reflect off land forms, so they'll be especially effective in a closed environment.

Yeah, Klonoa is probably Namco's most recognizable character, and has a significance to not only Namco, but for to the entire gaming industry as well. He's the obvious choice for a Namco character.
Wait, did I say Klonoa? I meant Pacman. Klonoa didn't do anything and won't be playable.

Going to go with wishful thinking here;
I think every character revealed so far is part of the starting roster.
Why? Well, again wishful thinking. But also because Sakurai has protected spoilers very staunchly in the past.
In the Smash 64 blog, secret characters were only on the website after the launch of the game.
The same deal with Melee.
In Brawl, secret characters were on the dojo site, but only after you clicked a box that said something like "This is a secret character, are you SURE you want to proceed?" and they were listed as "??????" on the website.
As of now with Smash 4 all the characters are plain to see on the website.
I think every character revealed so far is part of the starting roster.
Why? Well, again wishful thinking. But also because Sakurai has protected spoilers very staunchly in the past.

I still really want paired victory poses to be a thing when playing teams. This would be perfect for Peach/Bowser, at least.

They were also only added there after the Japanese launch of the game. Of course, there was the big exception of the two third party characters. That said, I don't see why it's "wishful thinking". I'll be surprised (and disappointed) if that isn't the case.

There was a shot of her in the direct bouncing her notes about in a small corridor section of palutena's temple or something similar. It seemed fairly likely from the footage she'd do what the PotD just confirmed :3
I'd love to see Klonoa get more love. I also think that, iconic or not, you'd probably get more people regularly playing Klonoa over Pac-man who I can see most people not touching beyond an initial window of novelty (unless Sakurai makes him godlike, of course

Sakurai didn't give us much to go by unless today's comment was a hint at a new playable.
If that's true, that's still disappointing since mewtwo wasn't in there. Zoroark is the best candidate, i think.

Honestly, the thing I'm most hyped for is the 3DS release date. With the release just around the corner (assuming there's no delay of course,) I'm not as interested in new information - I just want the game in my hands.

Yeah, me too! We (probably) know all the characters, and the one I'm most interested in (as long as my most wanted veterans) are probably hidden. I just want the game.
The tournament will be cool though
