Will it work in NA though is the major questions.
Definitely this sounds like is going to be something big. Either a brand new IP with new characters and new worlds with unique gameplay (Miyamoto always deliver when it comes to create new Gameplay modes) So yeah, this could be one of the several megatons from Nintendo.

It has been since the original Pikmin that we have waited for another Miyamoto "idea".
Anyone who is not excited for this is crazy. Whether he will deliver....that's another question. Taking a role as an executive was never good for his oversight of new games IMO.

Yeah and I'm all for smaller, focused projects. Sometimes a good idea doesn't require a massive game.
Curious to see what he's been working on. That's as far as I'm willing to go at this moment. I'm not going to get excited, etc because there is a very good chance whatever he's working on won't interest me. Won't be disappointed if that ends up being the case even if it turns out well.

No, A lot of other talented EAD devs do the brunt of the work. He's mostly a producer and an overseer nowadays(correct me if I'm wrong)

I don't know that Miyamoto's contributions as a supervisor (which are sometimes overhyped by Nintendo as a PR gambit) are a reliable indication of what he's interested in developing as a new IP. Maybe it will be a traditional kind of game, but I think people should at least brace themselves for something not targeted at GAF.
